I was not sure where to post this question.... Hope this is a good spot.

I am building a computer... my main activity on the computer (70% of the time) is spent in Daz Studio.

The other (30%) is in Ubuntu surfing the Web and doing these forums and posting my pictures etc.

I asked my favourite vendor to look over the parts I had picked... I have chosen a SLI type motherboard and a Quad chip.. the other parts not important to this question.

The vendor has suggested instead of 3 SLI 1gig Video cards that are designed to Gamers... I should be looking at Workstation Video Cards. He says "the right tool for the job"

Here is the question... my budget will allow me to buy 1 x 512mb (not SLI) workstation card.... or 3 x 1gig SLI PCIe2 video cards...
which is the better choice for daz studio.

Hi Rich

DAZ studio doesn't make use of the specialised features of a workststion card.

and Studio doesn't make use of SLI either...

A single 9600 will be more than enough for Studio.
(Or a single 280 if you want to be more up to date with graphics technology) :biggrin:

I use a GeForce 8000 series DX 10 with 512 MB video and 4GB of system memory  is where I develop my products to DAZ Studio 3.
