Is there a legitimate reason for wanting to scramble a file?
Who's files are you scrambling?

You could ZIP or RAR with a password. Here is a google search page for encrypted files www.google.com/search . The first link is to MS using built in encryption with XP. I've never used anything other than a passworded ZIP or RAR, so I don't know how any of the other works. I've also seen programs that can make files and folders hidden.

The best way of doing this would be to use either RTEncoder or OBJAction mover, with a key file that will never be public, e.g. a noise filled image that you delete after encoding. It would also be a trivial exercise to write a program to XOR a file against random data.
Or if you have access to a Linux machine (and possibly a Mac), see the attached link for how to create a file with random content via the command line.

I am looking for an application that will scramble files... and I don't want them unscrambled.
I need the file size to say the same.
Any ideas ?
