Hey all!!  Just wanted to announce that i've started releasing a series of ww1 warships and related items... so far two are available... my model of the SMS Emden, a WW1 German Scout Cruiser, and a Kite Observation Balloon... both can be found on sharecg... at the following link...http://www.sharecg.com/pf/theschell?PSID=4a028cd00540ada9495c83bc97c1c568 .... I shall be releasing further models in the near future so keep an eye out... Enjoy!!!

Nice work :D the SMS Emden reminds me of the Ship from the musical War of the Worlds, The HMS Thunderchild.

ty Lucifer.. glad you like it... the Emden and the ship from war of the worlds were roughly the same era of sea power... in and around WW1... atleast origionally anyways lol

very nice work, and most generous. I've approved the first one but would like to request further uploads be zipped using an older version of WinZip as most users will have problems with the .zipx  format even tho they can be opened by renaming them to .zip. Lots of folks never will figure that out.. ...

Once in a while I look around,
I see a sound
and try to write it down
Sometimes they come out very soft
Tinkling light sound
The Sun comes up again

Even renaming them to zip does not get them to open on Macs, there is no current Zipx expander available for Mac computers.

Please do re-zip them to a regular zip format then anyone can get them.

Sorry about that guys... i was using the latest trial version of winzip and hadn't realised till after that the format had changed... all i can suggest is that users can download the latest winzip which should open them successfully... though i will at some point pull them long enough to redo the format... and thanx for the heads up... again.. my appologies, i will post a notice here once the zip format has been corrected...

theschell ( ) posted Wed, 29 July 2009 at 12:16 AM

OK... all the downloads have been reset to .zip format on the host site...  again.. my apologies to those who've already downloaded and couldn't open my files... i hadn't realised till after i'd posted them and gotten a complaint about the format type that they weren't in .zip format... i have corrected the problem and my apologies...

NP.. people can't enjoy my work if they can't use it... lol... i expect certain probs... i know that the older poser 4 format for my cr2's may cause some issues for poser 6 users and such... but i can't even find out about those issues if no one can access my files... i plan on releasing a set of poser6 format cr2's to replace the older format so that poser 6 users will be able to use my models as well... i just went with an older format to try and make my models as wide use as possible.... i've heard poser6 can be pretty twitchy with some file types... my models were all tested extensively in daz studio and also in poser 7 and had no issues... so here's hoping... and ty for the help and compliments :)

Thanks a lot for your understanding and time involved in putting together these free items, it really is much appreciated.

I was previously unaware of Zipx, but now i have checked it out, it is a more efficient archiving product, just too bad it is not cross platform.
