Thanks for the front pics of the chest area. The MilHorse always looks too blocky and angular around there in a render - even though it's fairly accurate it just doesn't look good. This one looks smoother I think.
You mentioned wings and unicorn horn - definitely interested in those. For a centaur I think the ones I have at the moment mostly rely on making the neck of the horse invisible and adding a transmap to blend the horse and human part.
Could I see a close up render of some of the textures?

adh3d ( ) posted Thu, 16 July 2009 at 5:56 AM

Yes,  a close up render.

It's obvious I was following this in the other forum as I see my post above.  So I guess when a thread is moved one looses their subscription??  Hmmm...

Horse looks really really good.  Love all the hair options.  Didn't see a white or a dappled white,  that would be nice.

Also, very curious about the fetlock hair (down by hooves), has that got movement morphs?   I hope.  Just hanging there like that, so straight...

Here's a suggestion, if I may,  Perhaps add in some fine wavy morphs for that and the mane and tail.  So there is more variation.  😄

Thanks for adding the word fetlocks to my English vocabulary.
Adh3d said he is adding morphs to them. :)

Hi, yes, the hair will have movements morphs.

About the fine wavy morphs , well, I see what I can do.

Hope you can adh, it would add some versatility to the Mane, Tail and Fetlocks!! 😄

Ram, you mean a kind of curly hair, right?

adh3d website

RAMWorks ( ) posted Tue, 21 July 2009 at 11:25 AM

Well, wavy would be more like it.  Curly would insinuate something tighter.  Wavy can be sort of tight to but it's looser and hangs better.  I've never seen a curly mane or tail much less fetlocks.  Looked for some examples on the web but can't find any currently, so sorry....

Yuppers.  Hmmm, that middle link.  CUTE CUTE CUTE ponies!!

I used to ride and care for horses when I was a lad and I miss them still.  Sigh.... seems you either have to live on a farm or have money to have them in your life!

The foals? Yes, they are lovelies.

Maybe you could offer your abilities as a hairdresser against some hours of riding? 😉

RAMWorks ( ) posted Wed, 22 July 2009 at 1:18 AM

I actually do an equestrian's hair.  She a love.  I'm sure if I wanted to ride all I would have to do is ask but with my HIV I kinda play it safe around animals.

Edited to add: I saw your new picture in the gallery:

Could you do something about the fetlocks?
On the right legs (front and back) the hairs at the back of the leg towards the knees are pointing outward instead of growing out of the leg downward.
I hope I described that understandably.

adh3d ( ) posted Thu, 23 July 2009 at 5:17 AM · edited Thu, 23 July 2009 at 5:18 AM

Thanks Kerya for the picture.

About the fetlocks, don't worry, there will be many morphs to put the hair in the direction you want, I am preparing a web to show there all the morphs of the horse, including hair morphs. The image is just an example,

PS: you've perfectly described it.

Hi, I have been working in more morphs, in the image you can see a "squalid horse",

I have made this shape with a combination of adhorse morphs dials. Anyway, this preset will be included.

Yes, It is. Here another morph preset, this time the draft one. As the scualid preset, is made using horse morph dials.

adh3d ( ) posted Sun, 02 August 2009 at 5:58 PM

Thank you DarkEdge.

Here the new graze pose, it is a "direct pose", I mean it has no morphs, you can get it just  with the bend dial of the neck parts, just like any other pose, so it is easier than before  and I think it looks better now.

RAMWorks ( ) posted Sun, 02 August 2009 at 7:05 PM

Looks perfect actually!   I'm looking at the neck bend crease and it's flawless from this view point!!  NICE!!

Looking good!

My message about the draft morph seems to have fallen into a black hole ...
Do you think you could make the belly a little less pointy?

The graze pose is perfect!

adh3d ( ) posted Mon, 03 August 2009 at 5:42 AM

Thanks RAM and Kerya.

About the belly, do you mean this way?

If not, tell me where.... Anyway, remember this is not a full morph, it is the combination of "local" morphs that I have saved to the pose library, so it easier to change some details of the final result, it is just an example.

Kerya ( ) posted Mon, 03 August 2009 at 6:16 AM

Hi, here a render of the mule morph preset, it is made from the combination of adhorse morph dials, so you can make the changes you want changing each dial, like the, for example, draft morph preset. The render is made with the bay texture instead brown texture.

Body and ears are looking good.

I don't know about the nose/muzzle area - maybe it is just a strange shadow from the lights, but there seems to be an indentation where there shouldn't be one. It's toward the end of the white area.
(I hope you don't get upset with me for constant nagging ...)

Hi, thanks RAM and Kerya (and everybody) for the comments and suggestions, they are always welcome.

Kerya, I think I have fixed something what you say...

RAMWorks ( ) posted Thu, 06 August 2009 at 11:22 AM

Coloring's more mule like.  I like both face shapes so why not include both??  Sometimes if you try for too much accuracy then you look at the breed and you see that NONE of them look EXACTLY alike!!  Kinda like humans!! 😉

Hi RAM, yes, I like the other texture more for the mule too.

About the face, well, it is a combination of morphs dials, to pass from first to the last one, it's  just moving the dial "smooth lips end".

Because it is not a morph, to make variations is easy, just playing with the different dials.

Just seeing this.

A very promising looking horse, I must say. Two thumbs up.

It may be just me, but those legs look a wee bit too small though.

I just saw your Grazing picture ... niiiice pose.
Just one little thing: the mane should fall forward when the head is hanging down.

adh3d ( ) posted Fri, 28 August 2009 at 4:53 AM · edited Fri, 28 August 2009 at 4:54 AM

Hi Kerya, the horse is in pending process now.

There is a morph called "side move" you can use to move the mane bottom backward or forward. If you want a more "extreme" movement ,must await future morphs I can add later,.

Alex.
