Subject: Universal Poses

Okay, I admit that I'm not up on all that's Poser.  I did some bodybuilding poses for Ryan, but I didn't test them on Alyson, so I didn't know she couldn't use them. (Something's up with the leg mainly) Anyway, I've set about doing some separate BB poses for her as well. You can see a few in this thread.

It was suggested to me by a tech at SM that I should save them to Universal Poses.  Problem is, I don't know how to do that. I could ask the Tech, but he's been really nice so far, and i don't want to keep pestering him with questions.

Can anyone else help?

From the manual:

Pose Sets : By checking the Apply Universal Poses box, poses saved to the library will be automatically written as universal poses, and library poses applied to figures by double-clicking will always be applied as universal poses.

I don't have the answer to that but wanted to chime in that these - and the ones in the other thread featuring Ryan - and extremely good! Very lifelike. Universal or not and even though I don't own P8, I'd love to have 'em in my collection!

when you save them with Ryan and Apply them to Alyson? or save them with Ryan and apply them to Ryan later or are other figures involved?

 I was only talking about Alyson and Ryan. I haven't tried them on any other figures.

Quick question: Universal Poses as in, it strips morphs and such off the thing before applying, or that it adjusts to differences in mesh-joint rigs?

 I don't save the morphs when I create a pose. The bodybuilder morphs in my renders are all just for show.

They allow for differences in rigging.

Ah - that means they probably have to have a conversion table somewhere. Cool feature, though.
