Subject: Transparency falloff in D/S

SektorHP ( ) posted Sun, 30 August 2009 at 5:23 AM · edited Fri, 31 January 2025 at 1:08 AM

Hi. I finally upgraded from PoserArtist to Daz Studio 3, and I can't seem to figure out a way that controls Transparency Falloff. Does anyone know how to do that?
Cheers

What are you trying to achieve? Palin transparency mapping is handled through the Opacity strength control in the Surfaces palette. If you want to achieve the sort of thing that ttransparency Falloff does in Poser you need to use the Shader Mixer, which is an Advanced version feature (though you get to use it for 30 days, and can continue to use the Materials presets Saved from it indefinitely, with the free version).

The average pantyhose/sock model never exactly fits Victoria, so I'm trying to achieve that the opacity becomes less at the sides, obscuring the fact that her leg is about 1/4 inch thinner than her pantyhose.
I hope I can figure out the materials stuff within 30 days ^^;
