Subject: Why Clothes that Conform in Poser, don't conform when apply them in DS?

But if  i go to Poser and save the character WITH a conformed clothes, save it to the libraries, then if i go to DS and load that character, it will have the clothes correctly conformed.

If i start a new DS file, load the nude character, then Conform the dress with the FIT TO command, the dress doesn't work, body parts poke through.

Does DAZ Studio support Conforming clothes? Or what do i have to do?

By the way, the dress i'm conforming is possibly one you guys know, "JERSEY DRESS" which is sold somewhere in market place.

The only thing though is that i had converted that dress using Wardrobe wizard for a v3 morph character.

Anyways, how can i correctly conform clothes to characters while in DS?

Never had any issue with conforming clothes in Studio. Actually I noticed several occasions where clothes that fitted the character perfectly showed some poke-throughs in Poser. Have you tried anything else than the WW-converted clothes?

Did you apply the patch described on the product page?

mishamc, well I have Jersey dress for V3. not for v4.

But Pret and everyone else, i think i got it. I think the reason it's not working is cause The clothes i tried to conform , i haven't yet RESAVED. ( Resave with Preferences/use External Binary's OFF in Poser 6. Man, i'm having to Resave all my characters because of this, and now i find out i have to RESAVE all my clothes too. Tedious but it's ok.

I hope that i won't have to resave all my props cause i have tons of props.

The only time when Poser creates a PMD dependency ( which DAZ Studio doesn't like, thus it throws errors)is when you modify and resave a character to the libraries or to a PZ3 file?? right?

well, i dont think i resaved Props( while i had Use External Binaries ON).. s o i think i'll be fine without Resaving  the props. Thank goodness.

But you know what??

Ward Drabe wizard 1( I used 1 because i wasn't getting good results converting these clothes to my morphed v3) converted Jersey skirt gave me problems in Poser also!!!

Sometimes it would take 2 , 3 or more trials to get the jersey dress( which had been converted to fit my morphed v3) to fit my morphed v3. Body parts would stick out and it just didn't fit well.

So maybe it's just the jersey dress that's having problems in DS because it also had problems in Poser. I tried another shirt, and that one worked well in DS.

Ahhhh, the compression flag. Makes sense. If something is a straight CR2 or PZ2 or PP2 it will work just fine in Studio.

The V3 version of the Jersey dress will not automatically follow V3's morphs in Studio. You either have to adjust the morphs in the dress manually or edit the .cr2 file and change the figure number for the actors and make some other changes.

I have successfully created .cr2s for most of Hongyu's older products (before he started including the Studio "patches") using this method. I made an attempt to write up the instructions on my web site at the following link: [http://morgiliath.com/graphics/studio/tutorial/superconform

jimbeach, well I managed to fix my problem and it works in daz studio.

Here's a pic: Margot"s( v3 character) Body + MIKI"s head( Frankesteined) and the  dress is Hongyu's Jersey Dress.

I managed to make it work after a long tedious battle with  converting the Jersey dress to my Margot character.. I don't know why but I used Wwizard 1 long time ago, and converted the dress but recently i've tried to use the same dress and it just wouldn't work anymore. I guess POser went crazy. But i kept trying and finally the dress worked.

Anyways, that was in Poser.

But when i opened the dress in DAZ Studio, it  worked!! I'm happy!!!
