Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 09 11:21 pm)
A couple of things come to mind. First bump up the ray samples a bit, though this usually shows as bad antialiasing (jagged edges). The other thing is that the map size is set at 1024 as the default. Characters, and some other objects, have much larger texture maps. Set for the size of the largest map used, for optimal results.

I have had this happen also..... I have no idea what causes it, its a strange strange thing. I typically just try to render it again, after closing poser and reopening, its almost like the mesh is coming through the skin. I've never found an answer, and when it wont work, I just end up postworking it out. :(
Oh my goodness...I was almost through with the postwork....pixel by pixel and also using the clone tool.....and screwed up on selecting all and merging as one..at some point and I have to start all over....I have found also that sometimes opening and closing Poser and re-rendering will fix the problem...but not this time...ughhhhh....very very frustrating...
thank you for your input hon....anybody else???
huggers, Carol
I've had it happen in Poser 7 usually when I am using props such as Jepes animated "billboards" and others with a transmap. When that happens I end up rendering in Poser 4 rather than firefly and that usually fixes it. But that clearly isn't what is causing it on yours (at least I assume you don't have any trans maps on those textures) so...
I've also had it happen when I mess around with the "Post Filter Size". Put back to "1" and "Box" if it is not currently. Then if that doesn't fix it, change it to gausian and/or sinc. But I usually find that anything other than the default of "1" and "Box" leaves those marks you are seeing.
Just in case you don't know, that setting is on the right hand side, near the bottom, of the render settings menu (under options) in Firefly.

Regarding when I render manually(very basic settings)....in Poser 6....on occasion I get pixelated places all over my character, clothes, etc....
Has anyone had this happen and know what causes it?
Thank you for your input,
