Obviously, I'm going for an idealized young adult look, not specific to any race. I realize the ear and the area outside the mouth corner need work, but what about the overall look? What would you change? What does it need?
Would love to hear your thoughts.
Quote - in the human female, the jaw appears prognathous due to the relative degree to which the forehead recedes, when compared to the human male. these are secondary sexual characteristics determined by hormonal levels of androgens in utero and during later development. in case anybody asks.
You wouldn't have the first part of that in English would you?
(And I thought my vocabulary was decently sized...)

My best advice would be to look at lots and lots references and do a bunch of practice heads. With this one, I think giving the nose some more volume might be a good starting point. Also give her back the back of her head. You see things best in relation, so you want the overall proportions to be more or less correct.
-- I'm not mad at you, just Westphalian.
The cranium is too small in relation to the overall head. It should also be rounded.

Lotus 123 ~ S-Render ~ OS/2 WARP ~ IBM 8088 / 4.77 Mhz ~ Hercules Ultima graphics, Hitachi 10 MB HDD, 64K RAM, 12 in diagonal CRT Monitor (16 colors / 60 Hz refresh rate), 240 Watt PS, Dual 1.44 MB Floppies, 2 button mouse input device. Beige horizontal case. I don't display my unit.
The head seems a little too low overall. The eyes should be more or less in the middle, here they're too high overall.
So a bit more forehead as well :)

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA
Using Poser since 2002. Currently at Version 11.1 - Win 10.
She's got a conehead thing going on with the slop of her head. Top of the ears need work I think, not enough flesh on them.

Short version: I'm modeling some humanoids whose design requirements are specifically tailored to suit my workflow. The base mesh is less than 8000 polys. Overall I'm OK with the body, though I admit the hands need some more work...
