The CR2 file has Japanese characters in it.

Thereore, it could be that the CR2 is readable only with a Japanese version of Poser.

You could probably hack into the cr2 and rewrite with the required English equivalents.

Somebody wrote a Japanese removal script a while back, I think inspired by Have's figures which had the same problem. If I can remember who and where, I'll get back to you...

I didn't check all, but you need to replace followings using text editor or something.
"マグネット ベース" to "Mag Base"
"マグネット ゾーン" to "Mag Zone"
"マグネット" to "Mag"
"拡大縮小" to "Scale"
"軸回転" to "Rotate"
"移動" to "tran"

Attached Link: Cage's home page

I found my copy of the script - it's by Cage. However it doesn't say if redistribution is allowed, and his download page is 404. You could try a PM?

Hello, folks.  My apologies for the dead URL.  Whazizname pointed me to this thread, so I thought I'd stop in directly and offer the current link for the script I wrote to fix Have's figures.

http://www.the.cage.page.phantom3d.net/scripts/pzpy/fix_EROKOs3d.py

If I recall correctly, this goes through the file and checks internal names of parameters, which are in English, and converts non-English external names from that information.  I think the actual crash problem with the Have figures wasn't the Japanese characters, however, but the presence of custom cameras which were parented to the hands and/or other body parts.  (I haven't read this thread, apologies, so I don't even know exactly what you're trying to fix presently....  😊)

So theoretically the process used in the script should still work on recent Poser files, but there may still have been cr2 changes since the Poser version Have's figures used, which could interfere.  I was using Poser 5 at the time, and I think... Poser 6 may actually have been current when the script was written.  (Apologies to Whazizname - I gave you the wrong Poser version in PM.)  If non-English characters are used for the external naming of any parameter types added since P6, the script would need to be updated to accomodate those.

Cage can be an opinionated jerk who posts without thinking.  He apologizes for this.  He's honestly not trying to be a turkeyhead.

Cage had some freebies, compatible with Poser 11 and below.  His Python scripts were saved at archive.org, along with the rest of the Morphography site, where they were hosted.

( cross-posted to http://www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/showthread.php?thread_id=2783762 )

For folk who want to upload to the PoserClub Japan Galleries, or share your freebies with other members there, here's the quickest way I know of, for you to familiarise yourself with their new uploading system.

If you use Internet Explorer with Google toolbar installed, you will be able to get the instruction pages translated easily enough.   Go to this link: http://www.poserclub.jp/public_html/index2.php?option=com_wrapper&view=wrapper&Itemid=75
There are graphics to complement the translated words, so it more or less tells you step-by-step how to navigate their system for Gallery and Free Data uploading.  ( Also how to use your blog )

I recommend that folk also read the PoserClub Japan Terms of Use, using the toolbar translation utility.
http://www.poserclub.jp/public_html/index.php?option=com_wrapper&view=wrapper&Itemid=76

*Please note that the translator interpretes PozaKura as "Baggage Cherry Blossom" or "Baggage Cherry Tree".  It does not understand that "Pozakura" is an attenuation of "Poza Kurabu" (Poser Club Japan).

I can't seem to find the download link for these characters, came across them myself several days ago and I thought it was just like a gallery blog or something.   Or are these limited time offers for one day or such?
