Yup. Still get the glitch.

Hang on, I'll take a look...
That too is off, it has no bead in it...
Is that good or bad?
I've tried making the light dome smaller and then larger, this only changes the brightness (obviously) it has no effect on this nasty line.
I'm still stuck.

It should be off. Linking sun to view can cause the camera view to seem brighter when it faces in different directions.
So you are making a 2D texture on a plane? You want to wrap this around your egg model? If the original texture is procedural try changing the mapping. Random might work well for a mottled design.

I wanted to render out a material I made for my white egg (with blue mottling)
[okay so I haven't got the mottling to look right on this large 2D image plane, but I'll adjust that when I get the render right.]
My problem is that I have this odd difference in colour on the 2D image plane when I render from TOP view.
I originally had it just with the Bryce sun, so I turned that off and tried with just IBL, but still got this odd colour difference, now I've just tried with no IBL, no sun, and used a light dome, but I'm still getting an odd distortion at the same place, less colour discrepancy but the distortion is still there.
Even my usual final trick of turning the Atmosphere to Off and the colour to Black, has had no effect on this odd glitch.
I've now also tried rendering with the camera view in case that was it... with no discernable difference.
I'm running out of ideas now.
Help?
