Anyone else having problems with poser and vista home premium? I have had several times where poser will close for some reaon, and I will get a message saying that windows is looking for a way to fix the problem.

If anyone else has had a problem, and been able to fix the problem, how did they do it? My computer is brand new and is able to handle poser easily since I asked for one that has the memory needed for running poser.

I had that issue and could not fix it for the longest time.  Then went to update my graphics card driver and bingo that was it.  You have a new computer, but...the drivers change.  Just a thought.  I also give poser memory priority through use of the Task Menue.  Byron

how did you update your graphics card? was a there a download for it? and what things did you turn off or reduce memory for to help poser stay stable? the problem with poser crashing is driving me nuts.

If you know the make and model of your vidcard, visit the website and search their download support.

With Vista, go to your control panel, system tools, device manager.  Find your video card and click on have windows up date driver (must be connected to internet).  It takes a while, but if there is an update the OS will find it and install.

With Poser open, get more memory priority to Poser via CTL, Alt, Del will bring up the task manager.  You should find Poser.exe working down the list,  Right click and  pop up box will come up with one item set memory priority.  I usually go for above normal.

Not a good idea to let Windows find the driver.
It's much better to find out the video card model and go directly to the manufacturer's driver page and download and install the latest version.
