Vue F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 30 8:14 pm)
Its a bit different for me, I had Vue 6 Infinite, then made the mistake of going to 7 Complete. So I keep 6 Infinite to run Python scripts or baking etc
If however I did have the older versions I would probably keep them on my system so in case I needed to re-render something, as version changes can in a lot of cases change what the rendered image looks like

I do clean uninstalls of previous versions before installing the latest bought copy. I have a CD in case it asks for validating an old version first. Previous versions of Vue and other programs are stored forever in a box and never looked at again.
Except of Hexagon 1.21.

I have 6, 7, 7.5, and 8 Infinite, plus 7 Pioneer, 7 Esprite, and soon 8 Pioneer all installed. Egadds... I need a life...

My license with e-on does not allow me to keep previous versions installed.

Hi Shawn - did you mean that message that pops up once you install a new version? I always took that to mean I can't sell or upgrade again the older version, since it was used to upgrade to the new version.

What do you guys do with your old versions?.
Once I've installed Vue 8 Inf on my rig, I'll have Vue 6, 7.4 and 7.5 still on as well. Now a lot of the content in each is the same because the extra's CD has never been changed in all that time.
Now I don't need all thos versions of Vue on my rig so what do you guys do?
Do you uninstall all the previous ones or keep one in case you need it, just interested in what everyone does with the older versions really!
TIA!
