Subject: V4 Texture Creation Kit & V4 Skin Shades

3DFineries ( ) posted Thu, 03 December 2009 at 5:43 AM · edited Wed, 11 December 2024 at 11:09 AM

I bought V4 Texture Creation Kit & V4 Skin Shades, but I'm having a problem.   The eyes just don't line up with the mesh.  I contacted Victorias about it, but she didn't reply (not that I specified she replied, but it would be nice.)  I'd like to see this fixed.  This kit is good, don't get me wrong, but it could be Great if this last issue was fixed.
Here is an image of the eye:  See the ugly line that is under the eye?  It should be lined up with the bottom of the eyelid shouldn't it? If anyone has suggestions or tips on how I can fix this myself, I'd really appreciate it.   I have PSPX.

Not sure what you mean by applied it to her.   I went into the surfaces menu of DS, put the texture on V4, & rendered it.  The above close-up was the rendered result when I turned off the eyelashes.  I understand that darker areas are naturally around the human eye, but that just looks off to me even when I view the texture under a semi-transparent UV map in PSP.

I uploaded an image of the jpeg of the texture atop the UV map.  The black arrows point to the uv map eye lid & the red point to where the face texture has a line.

it being a merchant resource it will need some customization.  what i would do ( i use psp 12) is clone the area out with varying transparency.  out of curiosity..why did you turn off the eyelashes and render?  does it even show with them on?

I plan on customizing it (including getting rid of that eyebrow-I have other resources for the brow), but I'd like to get that line to look correct.  I turned off the lashes so I could see how it looked with the eyelashes off because I noticed it was there when they were on.

gotcha...in psp, cloning is the way to go to remove the line and make it all blend nicely
