Subject: Space Pilot 3D Mouse

I use Poser 8 (updated to current)
I got a Space Pilot 3D mouse for Xmas.  :)  (Thats the large flat one with the b/w LCD)
I can't figure out how to manipulate objects.
Cameras rotate/translate fine
Hotkeys work
I can't get anything other than a camera to budge.
I also tried the "official" Poser 7 release that had the support added in it but had same results.

Does anyone else use this device that can help me get it setup?
Can you send me your config file for Poser?
I love the device, but would really like to get it working 100%.

Thanks

Did you check Poser's General Preferences for settings?

Yes.  It just has options to invert the inputs.
Doesn't help set or unset.  (I tried).

press button 1 on the Space Nav/pilot - it switches between camera and posing.

there's no documentation I've found on this.. I only found out about the button 1 thing on here Rendo when someone found it...

I tried that button1 thing and that didn't help.
Apparently its not quite the same function that it is in the Space Navigator  :(
I suppose the drivers could have changed or something.

As Kaibach says, the pre-defined button 1 should switch between camera mode and direct manipulation (does the same on a Space Navigator and Space Pilot Pro, it's a default driver thing rather than hardware specific).

As for the other buttons, you should be able to edit the poser profile in use in the 3DxWare control panel button configuration tab. Pre-def button 2 switches to the memorised camera view I think, the others don't seem to be setup to do anything, but you can just create custom functions of your own and assign them to the buttons you want.

ok, thanks for the help all.
I restarted from scratch and deleted the Space Pilot config from the AppData folder and started over.
When I did this, the Button1 worked as indicated.
Dunno what was different, but it worked so its all good.
