I generally set mine to 4.01 - something magical about that number. :biggrin:

Changing the version number will stop the error message, but you might want to double check and make sure that it actually works the way that you want it to in whatever version you are setting it to. There are some material room differences between the versions, especially 8 and 5. Just saying.

No, but it does mean that you can make a material the won't work the way it should in Poser 5 but the user may not be aware of that because there is no version warning.

I've created some mt5 files for an upcoming product, but I'm wondering if I can change the version number from 8 (I'm using Poser 8) down to 5. Will that stop error messages in Poser 5 and Poser 6?
