Uploaded an image into my gallery that was a trial run for last Halloweens contest. The massive scene I had planned didn't make it all the way off the ground, but I was happy enough with the solo Zombie Skeleton render.

Page has a link to some desktop sized versions of the render along with the full-sized (giant) render.

Enjoy!

The larger versions are definitely worth a look folks
AS
Is it better, detail wise, to render a larger image and then scale down?

tres creepy AS.....
@ airflamesred...rendering much larger and scaling down, in my experience, allows for rendering at a much lower AA setting and having a finer render in the final reduced version...in any app I use as a matter of fact, so it's worth trying if you have an image worth experimenting with.. ...

Once in a while I look around,
I see a sound
and try to write it down
Sometimes they come out very soft
Tinkling light sound

Mmmm…yummy…eyecandy. Hay Kirk, he’s got your eyes! Just crossed my mind…how about putting some slimy maggots around his stomach? As is I love the texturing, background and dark rainy mood atmosphere you’ve created for this piece. Gee...just got hit by a raindrop on my eye lid. A few months late but finally here...good work has no time limit...thanks for sharing it with us.

It sometimes can be as bobbystahr mentioned, I know of mattpainters who will usually paint at double the resolution they really need and then reduce the image down after they finish. Their reasons being the small details will combine somewhat, giving a more realistic look.

I just render large so as to print out large, my full render of 2550x3300 is the size of US standard paper, 8.50" x 11.00" (at the standard setting of 300dpi)

Thanks all!  ;oD

"The massive scene I had planned didn't make it all the way off the ground..." It did, however, apparently make it out of the ground.

Lol, yeah it looks like he's been stewing and rotting for  awhile underground.

I actually did throw an entry into the haloween contest, but it was fricking horrible. But, the idea was/is the military vs. zombies, with all these torn up buildings and action/carnage going on.

I'll do it...someday, lol. Probably not before my next movie gig comes up but, as long as its before halloween 2010.  ;o)
