Well, I downloaded some.  First I tried to load was The Girl4 - no luck, says it can't find a file (but no hint as to which file) and I can't understand the Wiki help at all.  Have tried loading the thing in all sorts of places - nothing. 
I guess somebody out there must have The Girl4 working in DAZ Studio, but all I came across on DAZ was that someone else had the same problem....... 

You need to install the Girl 4 to the same folder as you installed Victoria 4 to, since the one is an expansion set for the other (same for Aiko 4 and She Freak 4, and for Hiro 4 and Freak 4 with respect to Michael 4).

yes, I appreciate that and have tried it and get the same problem - the exe is: .8390_1_dpc_TheGirl4. 

My 'installation' is a bit erratic - part was in the DAZ Studio contents folders (that's where the base is) but some parts were loaded into 'Poser format folders' (I was, well, new to this sort of thing...) and it is possible that the thing is looking for a file that is elsewhere - for example, the Helena morphs are not in the same place as the base Victoria 4.2 but in a seperate Poser format folder.  These work perfectly well......
A more specific error message saying which file could not be found would help enormously.

Now, since the figures are free, are there any free clothes/hair for the newly "freed" figures?  Millenium Kids, etc?  Just some basic stuff?  I haven't been able to find anything.

Check the Frepozitory forums at DAZ and the Freestuff here (remember to include the General Freepozitory, and don't restrict your seach of Frestuff here to DS items, as most Poser items work in DS).

This is a big move really, especially since the gen 2 figures still should have their morph packs included. This makes the free version of D|S much more versatile for people who don't want to spend much money.

 I"ve thought about getting V4 and M4 but then... i would have to buy or convert( it takes so long to convert things)a tons of clothes for them and that's tedious. I already have all my items setup for M3 and V3.

Also, i would have no textures for those new characters thus.. it's like a plot to get us to buy more stuff. Sorry, i ain't doing it. I already spent like a few hundred dollars buying stuff for V3 and M3
