Subject: When making custom morph characters (ex. V4)

jartz ( ) posted Mon, 25 January 2010 at 3:13 AM · edited Wed, 20 November 2024 at 2:33 AM

Should I use blank channels on the ones provided by the figure itself.  I use the MorphFromObj and I use like a PMDCC 03, or something like that.   I kinda new at all the using morph channels and such and doing a full-bodied custom morph is something I'm trying out at the moment.

What should I do in selecting the channels without disturbing the figures pre-made morph channels.

I hope this makes sense.

Thanx,

JB

That is what the channels are there for, yeah.  If you don't use those then you need to find some other way of getting the morph into the character that is painless for the user, possibly by ExP, but there are 50 blank channels built into the character for you to use so why not?

Totally agree.  The extra channels are there for you to use 'em.  Why not use them?

Thank you, Paul and Jen for helping me and Artemis with this discovery.  I been sculpting in Blender so grouping the morphs from scratch would be a pain.

I really appreciate it.

Cheers,

JB
