Zak666Williams ( ) posted Fri, 29 January 2010 at 10:57 AM · edited Mon, 27 January 2025 at 5:10 PM

Gday:
 when i export poser files as .OBJ as animated it exports a file per frame.
I wish to import these into Vue.

(this is the only way i can import poser into Vue.)

How can you import all these files so when you render the .vue file it's fully animated
when i import 1 file i obviously get a still.
can i import all files so eatch file is on a  frame

frame1.obj - is on frame 1 in vue
frame2.obj - is on frame 2 in vue
and so on

or can i make a animated obj in poser export without making each frame a difrant file???

I was going to say, "It's easy to do in Vue.  All you have to do is..."

Then I realized you were talking about OBJ and not PZ3.

why can you only import obj into Vue, and not pz3?!

If you have Infinite or XStream, then there are Python scripts available (check at C3D) otherwise you'll have to load and keyframe the objects manually.

For some Reason Vue wont import any PZ3 file. it says "Unable to Read file" on any poser file.
I wish i could import poser files but no poser file will be imported into Vue.
anyone know how i can fix this?

what version of Poser?
have you turned off "external binary morph target" or whatever the hell that setting is, in Poser's preferences? :)

no i have not turnd of external binary morph target;
i am using poser pro at a freinds place trying to import into vue xtream PLE;
couldi import it into Vue pro studio and then save the view file and open it with V7 ple? would that work???

I don't think PLE allows you to import from another Vue version. You certainly can't save on the PLE and import into any other version.
Not sure about Poser Imports to PLE.

Just been to E-on to check the smallprint:

"The PLE is for personal, non-commercial use only, files cannot be exchanged with other PLE users and are not compatible with other versions of Vue, network rendering is disabled, renders may be watermarked and carry a logo."

It doesn't say you can't import from Poser though.
