VirtualDub will do it. File->Open Video File and select Image Sequence from the file type drop down. Then in the file open dialog, select the 1st in the numbered sequence of .png files and it will load all of them. You only see one image, you have to move the timeline slider to move through the sequence. Select your codec and save as .avi. That's just from a quick trial I did so I don't know what the limitations are other than those imposed by individual codecs r.e. image size ratio etc. I only use VDub for transcoding repairing.Should be possible in Sony or most editors though and the procedure should be in the manual.

Hi VirtualDub,
I actually got it. Someone informed me of the "secret" place to set preferences , like open sequence.
I actually had it finished about 3:30 am, and it crashed and I lost all the data. I had to start over again....
Thanks virtual.

Outstanding though I'm lmckenzie, not Virtual. Then again, I'm here virtually so it's all good :-)
Just a guess but if it keeps crashing, you might try dividing your .pngs up into two or three groups, making separate .avi files and then joining them in VirtualDub using the Fils->Append AVI Segment function to create the final .avi. You might also get the latest version, 1.9.8 if you don't have it.

Dear VIRTUAL Imckenzie,
Thanks , good suggestion.
I am shure that lot's of my problems are due to ignorance.
I put up a "preview" of my video on youtube.
As is evident, I need to edit it better, and go back in and get a better mix on the music, as well as add a dominant 7th chord going in to the chorus.
I am thinking of useing movies for backrounds as well, rather than just snapshots of the coast...

VDub = VirtualDub - same program - sorry for any confusion there :-)Neat - I like mixing the studio and beach scenes. If you're thinking of adding animated scenery, you might want to look at using Vue (link above). I've never used it for animation but it can create some incredible looking landscape scenes complete with moving clouds, water, trees blowing in the wind etc. and easily import Poser figures. I don't pretend to know how difficult the process is but I'm sure that some of the animators here and the folks in the Vue forum here can give you lots of advice.

I have finished rendering my first music video animation to high def png frames.
So I import the folder into the editor. The editor opens the folder and sets one frame on the time line... there is a tick box marked sequential in the dialog box, but; this is greyed out with these files.
Is there someone who can advise me on creating animation with these files in an editor???
Thanks
