Subject: A canadian Mountie for M4, pretty please

Jedi_Padawan ( ) posted Tue, 23 February 2010 at 7:19 PM · edited Tue, 25 February 2025 at 10:58 PM

Yes, there's a Royal Canadian Mounted Police uniform for M2/M3/D3 over at Poserworld, but a new version for M4 would be wonderful.

There's far too few stuff for our new males.... Sad

Referencelinks would make it easier  to decide that  g
I see so many  wishes here, but i dont have enough time to google every wish.
Im not a canadian and not a PoserStuffBuyer since yearsg

I'm not a canadian, too 😄

But of course you're right, here's a reference pic:

I would like to be a canadiang
Okay...
thanks for the pic.
Are you sure that you cant get something like that on the market ?
Looks not like a set that need to be done ...i mean
maybe you can take a  military set and add a new texture ?

But however....i kick this on my requestlistg
Maybe if i have a minute and you dont need 100 opening and movement morphs
i could do that as a freestuff line;-)
What do you think you wanna need to have first..the dog ? ;-)

Greetings Karth

Huhu

i have found very good big referencepicsg
So if you are satisfied with easy done meshes and a few freebie textures on,
then i can do some parts inbetween my normal work.

We could start with a hat ..
Texture from Mapps Freebies....

Karth, you're unbelievable! 🤤

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No need for many morphs (though now that you speak of it.... opening the jacket.... 🆒´)
Honestly, nothing special, just the uniform as it is: jacket, pants, boots and the baldrick/belt would be..... AMAZING!
Please let me say that I WILL return your favour in a way, that's a promise.
And please say hello to your cat.

Viele Grüße aus Wietze,

Lol...thanks Sassy Always a pleasure..i like it when ppl say what they want. And thats for what this place is..so no need to do anything for me. Im happy with a great render at the end :-)

I think at the moment the pants are a challenge g
Im not sure if the folds are to strong / much now.
Can you take a look ..its a WIP before i start to rig that cloth

Greets Karth

Jedi_Padawan ( ) posted Sun, 28 February 2010 at 11:12 AM

You'll get the render, Karth, promised :o)

The folds look good, I don't think that they're too much. I've heard once that folds are difficult to model, so these ones are highly appreciated!!!! :o)

Karth, how have you learned to model? I sooooo envy you for this ability! I have Carrara but don't get a grip on the modeling thing....

Take care and "Thank you kindly"

Karth ( ) posted Sun, 28 February 2010 at 11:32 AM

Only learning by doing :-)
I have start with a few tutorials for forks, wheels , furniture and so on.
The point is, i have not the patience for that tutorialwork..so the next was to built my own furnitureg .
However ..those Tutorials are good to learn more about the workflow.
Visit some carrera foren...you can read and learn a lot there i think.
After that you can start ...
learning by doing..try out a small top if you want to do a cloth.
Im sure there are a few tutorials online for carrera.
And all that need time..time..time :-)
You will start 100 * the same mesh g
But after a few month it will go better.

So its not so easy like it seems to be, when i sit here now and do your pants in 2 daysg
I think the first has need a few weeks.

But i saw that you have done a good texturing on that pirate shirt with folds.
So maybe you should stay with that and learn more about texturing.
To do one thing perfect is sometimes betetr than to do 100 only to 50 percent.
Crappy englishg
Are you able to do the texture for that cloth maybe ?

Greets Karth

Jedi_Padawan ( ) posted Sun, 28 February 2010 at 11:43 AM

Sure Karth, the texturing isn't a problem, I've collected the pics of the RCMP signs for some time now and they'll do for the texture.

There are some tuts for carrara out there, but always after I did one of these I think "and what have I learned now?". Means, I can't use these techniques on other items, like furniture (I'd love to do furniture!!!).
But anyway, I think I have to try more and more often with these tutorials.

For now I'm looking forward to the mountie - I'm sooooooo excited!!!!!!

THANK YOU!

And dont give up..i have search for some old meshes from my beginning. Some are from tutorials...the pig and the small man and the cartoon pic have been for challenges in a 3dforum. That was very good. You need to think about the mesh and how you can solve that. Then you start and im very stubborn when i will learn something. I try thatout until i have a result..like to solve a puzzle.

So..maybe i should say to you....make a Futon Bed g

Huhu Sassy

Dont wonder...i have a bit healthy probs at the moment and the only thing
i can do is desk or tv...tv is mostly very boring...its better to do funny stuff :-)

Jedi_Padawan ( ) posted Mon, 01 March 2010 at 3:14 PM

Karth, I hope you'll get well soon! With this TV program I understand that it's boring ;o)

Don't know if this is too difficult, but is there a chance for the lacing on the front and side? like here:

That would be..... AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

~Sassy~

Karth ( ) posted Mon, 01 March 2010 at 11:35 PM

Huhu Sassy

Lace need a bit time more and its more difficult than a few foldsg.
But only my opinion..others maybe do that in minutes.
Will see what i can manage.
The lace on this shot look easier then on this i saw..hmm

Hey Karth,

these are WONDERFUL!!!!!! Thanks so much!!!!

And regarding the char set..... I'd like to thank you for your efforts, so it's a gift that comes straight from the heart :o)

I think this weekend I'll find the time to do some texturing - the boots will look amazing, despite the fact that they are already outstanding (the laces.... drool).

Lots of hugs,

~Sassy~

Huhu Sassy :-)

I have model and set many materialzones zones .. so its easy to do open morphs in later.
Maybe i will do one in....will see what i can manage this weekend.
Next week i need to do stuff for shopg
Have a great weekend .

Jedi_Padawan ( ) posted Sat, 06 March 2010 at 1:16 PM

Hey Karth,
that's really great work from you! I'm so grateful for your help, you cannot imagine how much!

The jacket looks already so interesting, especially with the many materialzones, which provides so many options.
Perhaps it's just the POV of the image, but is the serge (the jacket) a tad bit too short?

Please take your time, no need for a hurry!

Have a wonderful weekend,

~Sassy~

Hey Sassy

I was not sure with the length.
And while i was working on other morphs i have forget that problem .
Now its uploaded since yesterdayg
Im getting oldg
If its on i will add a link to a longer morph...then you can stretch the jacket like you want.
In some posing its better she is not so long.
But the rest you can fiddle out with themorphs that are in and maybe a magnet.
The pants need a bigger bulge too in the thighzone i think.
Here is a shot for you
Have a great weekend too .
Karth :-)
