Subject: Drag and Drop Conforming?

ssteph ( ) posted Thu, 11 March 2010 at 11:14 AM · edited Sat, 21 December 2024 at 2:41 AM

Hi.
can somebody tell me if there is something I need to do to enable the drag
and drop function in PoserPro2010?....I havebeen trying to drag conforming
clothes on to models with no luck. It's one of the main reasons I upgraded :(
thinking it would save me a lot of time. Has anybody else had probs?

Thanks

Using VistaUlt.

There are two new settinga on the propertiestab of the body:

-include morphs when conforming
-include scales when conforming

Haven't tried it yet, but I suppose that will do the job.

best regards,

Bopper.

Move the item from the library onto the figure onto wich you want it to conform.
Keep the mouse button pressed until you see "Add and Conform" - this might take a few seconds if the library is still filling (after you start PoserPro). Then release the mouse button. After the library has filled it goes a lot quicker
If the item is autoconforming, you don't need to check any boxes. If is not you might need to check the Include morphs checkbox.
Be sure you drag the item onto a body part which is not covered by a clothing item since it then may conform to that item instead of the figure

This is how it works for me

Just to be sure: You are using the released version of PoserPro 2010 - and not the beta version?
And do you use the AIR or the FLash library? (fi you are using the 64bit version you use the AIR one and if you use the 32bit version you can choose between the two)

Does drag and drop work at all?

ssteph ( ) posted Thu, 11 March 2010 at 12:12 PM

Hi ...yes I am using the release version..I never used the beta.
I am using the 32bit at the moment till I get new machine ....where do you get the option
for AIR or Flash?....I just presumed I was using Flash
Drag and drop does not seem work what so ever for me :(
thanks for your help.

Does the mouse pointer change at all while you're dragging?

Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)

That's interesting. Glad you found a way to make it work. I was not aware that Vista UAC includes the ability to prevent you from dragging content between windows. Amazing. I'll file that little tidbit away for the next person.
