Subject: Looking for this particular hair style for Victoria

I am trying to find a hairstyle to use for an animation project where it won't be too much of a pain to animate, but not have it be the close cropped gel cut boring. Has anyone tried from DAZ the Anton Kiseal (sp?) multiple pony tail style? Could it replicate this style? I like this style (see image) because the front of it stays pretty much locked down on the head, but the back can sway a little without a nightmare of motion calculations. Any other ideas for replicatiing this style if not the AK hair? Or does it exist somewhere?

Yup...Anton's pony would do the job. Actually, if you only have one hair...that is the one to get!!!

Yeah, but are you sure? All of the example pics at DAZ show Anton's hair being fluffy in front, not flat and against the head like in the photo. If it's fluffy in front, it still has the problem of it needing to move when she is animated. I can handle the back part, but I don't want to animate hair from the front AND back.

Heh, I've been looking for the same type of thing with the front part. Come on people! We are desperate! (Well at least he is! :) a3-ro2.gif

Yeah, come on! It's not like I have the people and resources of the Final Fantasty special effects team...I'm by myself here!

This may be a bad suggestion, but it is a thought. On the Digital Babes, there is a Nhair by Nesterenko that is similar to the front part. There is also a poseable ponytail. You might be able to combine the two to get the look you want. Load, say the Nhair onto the figure first and then save it to the "Props Library" as a prop (might want to parent it first and make it a smart prop). Then load it back onto the figure as a prop, and then load the ponytail hair. A bit of tweaking and the right texture and the two should blend well enough together to be made to look like the hair do in the picture. Just a thought.

Oops! Looks like the Nhair9 has replaced the nhair I am speaking of. Might be able to get the one I am talking about at Nesterenko's site. The nhair I downloaded sometime back is parted on the left and drapes across the forehead much like in your picture.

This isn't exactly like the picture, but it's a quick render using Anton's changing ponytail... you can reposition the back part of the ponytail to make it look closer to the pictures... I've also turned off the bangs complete, but there are a few different options that may work to make it look closer to what you're going for... you would need the expansion pack to go along with the changing pony tail though, it has more options, and is well worth the price. (And no I haven't been paid to say that)

Either the Anton set or the Xena set can do the basic shape. To get the bangs you want would require making morphs for the hair bangs ;-) Vairesh

Use the hair that comes with LinLin (free figure - GREAT figure - forget where to get her, sorry). The bangs are identical to the picture, no pony tail though. If you add a pony tail it will work but some of her original hair will still drape over the front of her shoulders. LinLin is a p4 character but the hair can be sized for Vicki, as with all of Kozaburo's masterpieces. Daeve

Thanks....I'll check out and consider the tips. But you know, for those of yout that design hair, this is a pretty cool style that I bet would sell well...

You can get LinLin (and her hair) by going here. All you have to do is load the pz3, and delete the body (Figure 1), so that all that remains is that hair. Then add to your library. a3-ro3.gif
