Well, thank you very everybody, I'm glad it's made a favorable impression on everybody, in spite of the fact that I still have to finish the grounds, have some flower bed, some kind of scenery for the distance... But I was focusing on the time being on the top scene... And now, I gotta figure out animation so that you can take a trip of the grounds... it also remains to be seen where I"m going to post said animation, since I don't have a web site yet... :)
heyas; okay, you are officially nuts :) that's a good thing. but, um... why's the hedge and little topiary bits in front of the gate kinda blocking it? that seems a little odd. it seems to me you should be able to hit the 'align bottom' command button to get the windows lined up. of course, spreading them out sideways would be a trick. :/ vue DOES need some kinda measurements! (did you try looking at the ground plane grid? i thought that might hold some clue, but not sure....) oh, and you dont have to animate to make a qtvr, do you? the user just uses the mouse to fly around, you dont need to animate it yourself. of course, i dont know what im talking about, but i thought that's how it went ;)
Hey Bloodsong, thanks for pronouncing me officially nuts... :) But yeah, that hedge and topiary bits are in front on gate number 2... I ran out of time for rendering gate number 1 which is in front of the canal, but you can see it in the looking out the window shot... Gate number 2 is so that you can walk to the pavillion, if you're on the side of the grounds wihtout having to go all the way to the front of the canal, which is quite long... Yeah, the windows spread sideway was the main problem... You don't know if they're the same distance apart... Well, in re: qtvr, whether its animation or just flying around, I still don't have a clue and have to figure it out... :)
Agreed... Vue needs some measurement tools. I always feel like I am working blindly when I use the scatter and drop panel. What is the meaning of 'from x=-100 to x=100' when you don't even know the dimensions of your object ? :)
Super JOB!!!! I could build you a grid to bring into vue when things need alignment. Like Mike and Sharon, I work in AutoCad so that is an easy project. You could size the thing any way you want for differant measurements. I will do up some this week in between the grandkids (they are staying for 2 weeks).
