Hehe Now I have this stereotypical pic of elderly Americans anywhere south in the US (and while Arizona isn't really south - well depending on how you classify "south", geographically or ..er. mentally... it still fits MY mental bill of how it is ;)) sitting on their patio/porch in a rocking chair, a shotgun within reach because it's easier than to yell "GIT OFF MAH LAWN!" at all the kids
ROFL
Good thing all us blue-eyed, blond Scandinavians don't have any prejudices, huh?

Quote - Doc I read all your threads. They've helped me a lot but I really don't respond unless I have a problem with your tutorial. So far I don't have any. You make great points and display them in a way that seldom needs much if any clarification for me.

This tutorial is totally awesome!
I started reading it because it looked entertaining, which is a truly remarkable accomplishment, really. But now I find that I'm actually learning things as well. Thank you.

Hey Doc, did you by any chance create a primer for Poser 7/Poser Pro? Somehow I doubt all this for Poser8 will work with P7/Pro, and that's what I have.

P.S. Much of what you see in this (P8) tutorial can be applied to Poser 7 but the graphic display may appear somewhat different, e.g., the Morphing Tool window.

Oh ho ho huh WAaaah! THAT is the one tool I really need an education in! So I'll be looking for that separate class for sure!

And each Room has its own unique set of dots. They don't copy from say Pose room to Materials room.

Good observation Gramps ... but ...
The "UI Dots" are common to both the Pose and the Material Rooms.
Only the Pose and Camera Dots can be different in the Rooms.
A look at the folder/file structure shows why this is true.

P.S. Dots are, also, availabe in the Hair, Cloth, and Setup Rooms.

But not what i was looking for. Looking for more of a Tutorial on how to use Dependent Parameters. ie teaching it to use one object's actions to effect the movements of another object's actions.

Dr. Geep you are and have been for a long time the Poser World's National Treasure!
My Poser 8 should be here this weekend and I can't imagine looking at it without you to guide me . Thank you so much!
Any thoughts to a new CD which would add 7 and eventually 8 to WackyWorld? When I can't do Poser for awhile I am glad I still have my original WW CD to pull out and remind me of forgotten things. Would love to eventually have a complete set. Just a thought... :-)
Just came across this thread- wow, I learned a few new things.
By the way, if you've got a dual-monitor system, it's really handy to float all the windows on one screen and leave the document/preview pane on the other screen- as large as possible.
If you don't have a dual-monitor system, this may be just your excuse to upgrade to one.
