Subject: Is there an easy way to layout bunch of( realistically) clutter in a scene?

josterD ( ) posted Wed, 05 May 2010 at 8:57 AM · edited Thu, 24 October 2024 at 7:53 AM

Is there a package sold by daz or someting here in renderosity that lays out tons of clutter around a scene realistically, just the way Vue does( Populate using Ecosystem).

Something that allows you to choose what items you want.. Then automatically and randomly lays out tons of those items around the scene.

Does that exist at all? I've never seen it but some of you may have.

I have DS 3.0.144 by the way, so something that works in this version

Not for D}S that I know of.  You can do something like that in Cararra using the Surface Replicator (using your own objects) and of course Vue's ecosystem.

Would be a nice plug in for D|S though.

Daz Studio 2 did have a Replicate plugin sold separately. It works for Prop (PP2) files only. But it wasn't updated for Daz Studio 3 and it looks like it has been removed from Daz market place. It would be nice to have it back again.

You're right, I'd forgotten about that plug-in (and I do have it for DS2 too!) - I would love to see that plug-in updated or better yet, rolled into DS4.    It's still not as robust as the Carrara's "Surface Replicator" or  Vue's "Eco-System" though.

Works in DS2 and DS3 and works with figures as well as props!  Just went in my cart!  I'll post my results on this later.

Checked again and it only works with props (not figures) - still useful though, but was hoping it would clone figures as well.
