Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 02 4:55 pm)
Jeff, those folders contain the information for custom morphs and they're right where they're supposed to be. If you move them and then try to use the character, Poser will give you an error and ask you to find the files.

Thanks, I was not sure because I don't know how they are being used. Almost all the time all directories for morphs and character are located INSIDE the "Pose" directory. In fact, those same characters are in my "Pose" directory and work just fine. In other words, the morphs for those characters are all in the Pose directory but the ones from the screenshot are not and are not the same as those in the Pose directory even though it is the same character. That is why I was not sure why those are outside the Pose directory.

Sometimes the Pose files contain just a script which calls the morph files contained in the other folder.
There seems to be no convention on where these Vendor/Character specific folders should go, so they end up in various different places. Very untidy, but as noted above if you move them you will break content.

Victoria is correct, the file RMMorphs should stay right where it is inside the Libraries folder. This folder will conatin additional folders that will be named with any of the characters of mine that you own, and contain that characters custom morphs.
I realise that many vendors put their morphs or these folders within the Pose folder itself but having a very VERY full pose folder myself and having to on occassion dig through it to find things every so often I found it beneficial to both myself and many customers to have the main folder that houses all of my characters morphs (RMMorphs) outside the pose folder in the libraries folder, as this folder tends to be less cluttered and easier to manuever through and find things when needed.
If you move this folder none of my characters INJ/REM poses will work. If you want/or need to move this folder or the folders inside of it you will need to edit each of the INJ/REM poses for each character you have to reflect the new location of the RMMorphs folder.
Hope this helps some :)

Got it, that makes sense now. I just was not sure what was going on, but now I understand. You are basically using a pointer file in the "Pose" directory to make a call to the folder name in the "Libraries" area. At first I thought these were somehow extra morphs or ones for another purpose, but that clears up my questions.
Thanks for all the replies.

As you can tell from the screenshot here, there are several directories like this. I have also posted a screenshot showing what is inside the directory that is highlighted. They are from the vendor "RebelMommy" but I have a few others as you can tell. I thought everything in the "zip" file went to the specific folders and was not sure why the vendors have these EXTRA folders or what they are meant for.
