Kinda off topic, but only a little..hehehe. I've posted 2 textures for the Millennium girls clothing for those that got the little cuties :). Hope you enjoy them. Laurie

Hey Laurie!....you are brighter than I thought you are!...very original idea and well..err.."inventcreative" (I will write to WEBSTER about this new word and givethem my own definition :))

I'd vote for that word, Bill! Has a certain ring to it...LOL! ;) Laurie

Wow Laurie, you don't waste any time, do you? Those clothes look really good. :)

Varian ( ) posted Fri, 03 August 2001 at 10:50 AM

Really nice job, Laurie! Why does everyone keep refering to the model in the plural? I've only seen one listtle girl model, but everyone keeps saying "them" and "they" and getting me confuzzled. Maybe I should visit Daz one of these days to take a peek. :)

tesign ( ) posted Fri, 03 August 2001 at 11:01 AM

Well Varian...the product say "Millennium Girls"...preschool and older, so there are two different characters derive from MW mesh...I think.

Daffy34 ( ) posted Fri, 03 August 2001 at 11:19 AM

Yep Bill...you think correctly :). Laurie

Varian ( ) posted Fri, 03 August 2001 at 11:24 AM

Ah, I see. Thanks! :)

MikeJ ( ) posted Fri, 03 August 2001 at 5:51 PM

So they are actually derived from the Vicki mesh, AKA, bmilwom.obj ?

Daffy34 ( ) posted Fri, 03 August 2001 at 6:11 PM

From the way they explain it Mike (DAZ, that is) the girls are both derived from the Vicky 2 character, but they are standalone figures...if you buy them, you don't need to have either Vicky 1 or 2 :). Hope that's what you were asking. Laurie

MikeJ ( ) posted Fri, 03 August 2001 at 6:24 PM

hmmm..... that's confusing... did a new .obj file to be placed in RuntimeGeometries come with the characters? or maybe it's some of that new imbedded geometry stuff? if it's based on V2, it would also be based on V1, since V2 uses the bmilwom.obj that V1 uses. So, anyone with a couple of tutorials and PHI factory and UV Mapper would be able to concoct his own Vicki from the .obj, if the DAZ girls contain that geometry. I can't picture DAZ being sloppy like that, so I guess it must mean something else.

LOL I think Laurie and Dizzie are having a texturing duel to see who can come up with the most... They are all just gorgeous! I have been vamping :) I especially like the patchwork ones Laurie.. Thank you! btw.. this is Diana (Petunia) I am on the husband's work machine AND DSL line hehehehe (s'posed to be working but had to check in here :)) Btw Mike... yes, there are actually 2 obj files for this set of preteen and preschooler girls. Yes, they are based on V2 obj. They are also quite packed with morphs for different looks. But the geometry for both figures has been cut for the bodily differences that a preteen and preschooler ought to have. So unless you put in quite a bit of work on it, I doubt that a vicky figure could re-apear as it were.

MikeJ ( ) posted Sun, 05 August 2001 at 2:33 PM

Ahhh.. I see now. Thank you. :) Now, get back to work! ;)

Yarrum ( ) posted Sun, 05 August 2001 at 2:48 PM

Hehehe I am "re-paying" his generosity for buying me those cute kids by helping him clean up a server meltdown. Gotta love these here machines...

Oh yeah, I'm absolutely in love with my PC these days! ;) I think it's time to scrape off my glass oil pallette and gesso a new sheet of masonite and try to see remmeber what it was like when nothing short of a natural disaster could cause my work to simply vanish into non-existence. ;)
