Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 14 12:36 pm)
Okay lol found something in the documentation about the group tool has two modes poly mode and vertix mode and in the setup room your in vertex mode and pose room in poly mode so I switched to the setup room and got his head chopped off lol.
But if there are other ways to do this I like to know. Also I am going to texture M4 so it looks like his head is cut off with blood and parts hanging out lol not sure what I am doing so any suggestion about texturing this effect I am open too.
Thanks :)
An easier way, select M4's head and export as a wavefront obj. The next window will ask either single frame or multiple frame (default single frame), click ok. The window after that is critical, it is the body hierarchy to select the parts you would like to export together. Make certain that weld all parts is selected.
The other method, make M4 completely invisible using the hierarchy window, make your selections, then export as wavefront obj.
I'm not sure about this, but I think if you export/import, there's no way to keep the morphs.
If you can afford the resources in your scene, you may find it easier to simply make the body (or head) invisible, and use two figures. One figure for the head, and another for the body if you need that.
If you make an image file that's totally black, you can use it as a transparency to make whatever section of the neck you want to be invisible. With the grouping tool, you can select the parts of the neck you don't want to see, and assign a material to that section. Than use the black image as a transparency for that material.
If you don't want to have such a big file, you can hack the cr2 file with “Poser File Editor” or similar to get rid of the extra parts you don't need. This rout is harder, but can save lots of resources.

lol sorry for the strange title but yes that is exactly what I am trying to do M4 owes me a lot of money and hasn't paid so I am going to cut off his head. (the one on his shoulders you pervs) lol.
Anyway I figured out if I go to the group tool I can click on his head and create a prop out it. and save it but the problem is his eyes and the back of his neck get left out. The question I have and been trying to figure out how can I add the additional areas such as eyes and part of the neck to be included when I make his head a prop for me to roll around my scene?
In most programs you can have an option of selecting mulitple items by holding ctrl or shift key but that didnt seem to work in poser lol so is there something else I am missing?
