I thought you were using Vue
Yes indeed, and will continue to do so.
My last machine had Bryce 6.3 on it as a curiosity, (I was intrigued by the boolean mesh export) but didn't bother installing it on the new machine - it has its uses, but only because it is very cheap.
I'm afraid I know nothing about Macs. However, I think DAZ/Studio has or will have a 64bit version.

More to do with 'virtual' rather than 'physical'.
The i7 is seen as 8 CPUs by Vue Complete.

But I suppose we shouldn't be too hard on DAZ for not giving away Bryce updates for free. Afterall, they do give DAZStudio (basic version) for free, and all their base figures for free, and lots of other nice free items over the years. Not a bad deal from them at all.
I paid $159 at a store in 2000 for the Bryce 5 upgrade from Bryce 2. My girlfriend at the time thought I was nuts to pay that much for something that was used to "do what?!"
I still have the free Bryce 5.5 from CNET Downloads.

Did they mention that Pixologic gives ZBrush upgrades away for free after you buy the current version? They are still around.

Quote - Bit of a storm brewing vis a vis all of us longtime supporters having to buy an upgrade where anyone buying 6.+ now gets it free...I agree that is a rotten deal and would encourage me to invest all my cash in Terragen2 toute suite if that attitude stays.. ...
It's not free if they have to buy Bryce 6.
Anyway, if you have Bryce 6 already, the price for buying Bryce Pro 7 will be cheaper than buying Bryce 6 again.

As long as you're not that scientist colony guy in Star Trek after a fight with Spock who realizes that no work had been done after 10 years on the planet.

Worth a look if only to get an insight to how to find the particle emitter and how David Brinnen does volumetric clouds in Bryce 7
The instancing lab will be fun. It has taken a while to work the bugs out for me. I like the look of the new volumetrics and the new lighting options in the Pro version. I hope the bugs get worked out in the DS to Bryce bridge because I sure would like to render some animations of people in Bryce.

it seems like daz usually offers its regular customers super reasonable deals and even freebies on its upgrades. then it puts a big price tag up there for the general public. daz realizes the importance of keeping its products popular and in use. they know renderosity users and people like most of us at this forum publish a lot and show off our stuff which is free adverts for daz. i'm still worried though because i haven't seen any breaks on the new carrara pro. j hate it when companies offer the standard and pro versions. even when the standard version is of a high standard, i still feel like i'm getting ripped and that i am a second class citizen.
