no such thing as talking too much in my book. If there was, I'd be in trouble up to my neck. LOL

I got the gift of gab from my dad so it can't be a bad thing, right?  :-)
Funny, because I'm shy too.  But if you get past that, look out!   The rush of words might knock you over.

aksirp ( ) posted Mon, 12 July 2010 at 2:21 PM

olala Jacomina, this is so beautiful and tender, looks like flowers for a summer wedding day....

dochtersions ( ) posted Mon, 12 July 2010 at 2:48 PM · edited Mon, 12 July 2010 at 2:49 PM

Hi Lucinda, my English grammar (and my 'friend' Google) were not good enough to translate your words.
But I suspect that you love to talk to ;-)?

@ Priska, your words are such lovely, I feel honored by that, and understand what you mean by that.
( *bow*)

Then a bit more talking , he, he.
If you call my name 'Mies' from Dutch to German translation, this means: dirty.
That's not fun, huh?!
Because every day I was me and brush my teeth at least 2 times ends. (LOL)
:tongue1:

myrrhluz ( ) posted Mon, 12 July 2010 at 4:57 PM

Hi Mies, Gab is informal  and doesn't translate well.  It means idle or trivial talk.  Gift of the gab means you talk effortlessly and usually quite a lot.  I speak nothing but English, and a very, very, very small amount of Spanish.  It's your English, which is  very good, that allows us to communicate.  :-)
...............................................................................................................................................
Speaking of names, my two given names mean bitter, bringer of light. So if I bring you some light don't expect a cheerful face.  Spell check asked me one time, if I meant Lucifer rather than Lucinda.  I thought that rather insulting.

dochtersions ( ) posted Tue, 13 July 2010 at 12:48 AM · edited Tue, 13 July 2010 at 12:50 AM

Thank you, Lucinda,
Later on, I will send you a site-mail. So that It makes room, for the 'white on white-photographs' .

( by the way, In Dutch the name Mies means : "sparkle of nobility".)

Meisiekind ( ) posted Tue, 13 July 2010 at 3:29 AM

LMAO @ the spellcheck who asked you if your meant Lucifer!!! Lucinda, i would have smacked a hole through the monitor!!!

I switched to initials a while back because no matter which of my given names I used, there was always a problem and I have very common names. :-)

Well if I still had my white chevy cavalier, I could have done a white on white shot of me frying an egg on the hood today.....

They say a picture is worth a thousand words...

So where do they go when a photograph leaves you speechless?

That was what greeted me when I went to Rancho Cordova, Ca after living 2 years in England.  103 and no air conditioning!  I thought I was going to die! Here it is in the low 90s. Not so bad...YET.

MrsLubner ( ) posted Sat, 17 July 2010 at 7:17 PM

Rancho Cordova is only about 20 minutes away from me in the South areas of Sacramento - you might know the area I'm in...Meadowview/Pocket Area. :-)

I lived on Mather AFB, and we only had one car.  Silly me, I didn't explore as much as I would do today in my more elderly wisdom!

MrsLubner ( ) posted Sun, 18 July 2010 at 12:03 AM

My son lived near Mather for a long time. Lives in Fort Bragg now.  I'd love to take some photos of the Mather area for you but, alas, I don't get out much either. LOL

Oh Helle - I agree with Priska - the three levels of white is amazing!

I still need to find the third shot! I was hoping I would be able to this past weekend, but with all the drama, my camera was the last this on my mind!

Well done!

Ha ha, not because you are spiders :D. Certainly not!
I've already posted three here. So now, I wait and admire your lovely ones.

(Just a little 'white on white-chat'.)
Warm greetings,
Mies. (J.)

p.s. every time I'm posting 'white on white' by my avatar, so I really am very activity here (LOL)

Ok... I won't even go into my whole name but one of my many last names is Siekemeyer and I just hate it when I'm called Seekie. :-)  I would be honored to be called Hell... there is a real force behind that whereas Seekie reminds me of some stupid childhood game... LOL

and have a nice day,
all of you (whatever your name ;-))

Mies Spider,
for today is my name

helanker ( ) posted Tue, 20 July 2010 at 6:45 AM · edited Tue, 20 July 2010 at 6:47 AM

Welll, Mies..  If i translate helle it is a "refuge" or a "home" or something as boring as a "traffic Island", but I doubt it is either of them, but a short name for Helene.  The beautiful Helene, though they couldnt call me beautiful, but they liked the name so they called me Helle. LOL! Pure guesses from me... No, what i have heard is.... My parents had 2 boys and after 5 years more  they got me by accident.   Accident = "uheld" in danish. But they were lucky,  I was a girl. A "HELD", so I was a bit of luck in the accident :-)  "HELD IN UHELD" so they called me Helle, but i dont know if that is true either. LOL!  LOOONG boring explanation :)
I must remember to say, I have never ever felt,  I was an accident :)))

Awesome spiders by the way. Really beautiful. :-)

dochtersions ( ) posted Tue, 20 July 2010 at 10:40 AM

Dear Helene,

Your explanation, for me I think those are interesting thoughts from you. Thank you for sharing this.
In the Netherlands means a Held: a Hero, so you are:)
What I really love about to read is, you never feel yourself as an accident. That is a blessing in an accident, they say here in the Netherlands: Een geluk bij een ongeluk. (a lucky by an unlucky).

I did love to hear from you,
bye, Mies

helanker ( ) posted Tue, 20 July 2010 at 11:36 AM

OH, Mies!   I dont mind to be called a hero instead of a HELL
And no, I was lucky to be loved. Accident or not

Helle Lizard

myrrhluz ( ) posted Tue, 20 July 2010 at 2:22 PM

Mies, I love your spider shots!  They are both fabulous!
Helle, I enjoyed your explanation of your name. Not boring at all!  I've been told I was a calculated risk, when the drugstore was closed.   It was said in jest, and I have never felt that my arrival on the scene was anything but welcome. :-))) (Well maybe in my teenage years, but it was too late then and they were stuck with me.  They had four teen-aged daughters at one point and can be forgiven for wishing to rid the house of all that drama!)

helanker ( ) posted Wed, 21 July 2010 at 2:00 AM

HAHAA I have a grand daughter that is already a drama queen in the age of 9. What wouldnt it be when she is 14?  :)

aksirp ( ) posted Thu, 22 July 2010 at 3:12 PM

Mies, that is a great picture with the white spider, never seen them..
both are very, very white (from the northpol?) perhaps icebear-spiders??

dochtersions ( ) posted Thu, 22 July 2010 at 4:02 PM

Wow Priska, Nice idea, that I have a icebear-spider on my table.
And, do you know? : He was first on my (short) pants!
Luckily not IN it :scared:

Meisiekind ( ) posted Sat, 24 July 2010 at 3:10 PM

Dang!!!! For some reason I stopped getting ebots again! Oh Mies - that white spider is just freaky!!! But marvelous shot! Thanks for sharing!

Before the month ends I had to upload a third image! I am really enjoying the white on white theme and am thrilled about all the cool images you guys have posted! This is my late mom's chrystal necklace that me son's fiance will be wearing on their wedding day in September! I photographed it on my bed - all white covers! Not exactly white on white but close enough!
