Rosie, next time you talk to CHris tell him that I have had great service from BT as far as broadband goes. I know it sounds strange, but they have been the best I have tried, and down this end of Wales I get good speeds as well, even in the shadow of the Beacons.

rayraz!! UGH!! They put weed in it?? Are they mad? What's wrong with good ol' normal custard with a bit of bailey's sloshed in? That's perfect..add in vodka, maybe kalua, cognac..
I think I'll stick to my sane custard, thank you.
Chohole.. I just called him up and passed on your msg. He says they've already decided on sky since he's got a sky lanline, cable..etc.. If it wasn't for that..he'd have taken up your suggestion and used BT.
he has to reinstall the whole hard drive. Rayraz.. his Norton caught the virus.. but couldn't delete it out. Was one of those manual deletions..and it all crashed on him.
He's feeling terrible without the net. Says there are so many emails from rendo..he can barely open his emails.
And Wales is pouring.. but the sheep are in..and the hills are green. Ah yes..Rayraz.. ..he did mention we'd go absolutely wild without him.
hahaha you'd be surprised what people do with weed! but the stuff doesnt work on me so i stick to whiskey myself :-P
hmm.. the idea of custard with baileys or vodka... i wonder if you could make custard mixed with a white russian?

aw man.. poor chris.. i ditched norton long ago, it was the best stuff around a while ago but when it started letting virusses through by the dozen a few years back, i switched to NOD, and now i've switched to panda cloud. its pretty good and free!
I also usually install superantispyware, spyware blaster, and malbytes antimalware.
Oh and a tip if you run superantispyware and malbytes antimalware: rename the executables to something different then their original name. cuz some spywares intercept the executables by filename and manage to bypass the antimalware apps that way.

I top it with bailey's because bailey's or kalua is creamy..
Milk is the base of custard.. I can add bailey's to the custard when it's just thickening. but cooking alcohol kills the alcohol content.
Why not make a custard fool? This is where you turn creative with drinks. ...
Soak the cake in rum. That's the bottom layer. Soak the fruits in White Russian. Next layer. Make the jelly with part water..part vodka.. Pour your custard. Douze with bailey's. Decorate with cream whipped with whiskey.
I'm not responsible for what you bryce after that.. :-p I do know one spoon of that and I'll be sloshed!
too many wares..!! I stuck to norton..but are you saying that you still get viruses with norton??? panda cloud..just hopped onto their site.. would it work if norton still installed?
LOL.. will happily make it for you when i'm there. I can send you an easy step recipe if you want.
Why was I thinking white russian is a vodka based drink?..Oh...the next time you have custard.. pick up the ready made pots in the yogurt section.. pour a good measure of white russian on top. Try that too..with coffee icecream.
Wales is pouring, now theres a surprise. Mind you we did get worried seeing someone bringing kayaks out of the garage yesterday. Wondered what they knew that we didn't. BTW we live at 1200ft above sea level

Well, ofcourse the whole idea of norton is that you dont get virusses. but there is this strange blurry line between spyware, adware, malware and virusses.. im not sure what its based on but generally apparently virus scanners focus on virusses only, and other tools like antispyware tools focus on malware, adware and spyware...
Its not like Norton just straight up lets virusses through on a consistent basis, but i did end up at a point where i would get in trouble with virusses, and couldnt delete them with norton. so i uninstalled norton and installed some other free antivirus software which then did manage to remove virusses i had. And that kind of broke my confidence in norton... cuz i was paying to get less safety then i could have gotten for free!
Panda cloud is definitely the best free antivirus software out there at the moment, but as with any virus scanners it is not recommended to run more then one of them in parralel. General rule is to have one virus scanner installed to avoid problems.
If you install multiple virus scanners at once they might cause false positives for each other because of the way they operate.

Hmm..I'm terribly picky with anti virus's. So far..cross my fingers.. touch wood..etc.. norton has been catching all my virus's..but I'm due for a complete windows reboot which I do every 4 months..
I was wondering about norton and spy/malware..but 2010..norton ..has an anti spyware inbuilt in it.. it's also got something called SONAR..i suspect it's anti malware.
Maybe when i re -install windows 7.. due for the last 2 months.. all viruses/spy/mal wares will be killed. Oh..i do a complete fresh install..
woohoo! back on a freshly installed windows 7 64bit.. but damn aero is freakin slow! omg.. i turned it off now that helps a lot.. but damn i thought win7 was supposed to be fast.. its slower then xp so far??

Been using Norton Internet Security for a while now, never caught a virus yet.

I hate viruses especially when they won't let you run your antivirus apps. I find that to boot up in safe mode stops the viruses from stopping your antivirus software and you can remove them then. Usually with me it takes a combo of RKill, Spybot Search and Destroy and Malwarebytes AntiMalware. I dislike Norton and Macaffee and run the free AVG antivirus. They are far too intrusive on my system and really slow my computer down. Sometimes I can clean a drive by installing it on another machine as a storage drive in slave mode so the operating system does not initialize and then running my antivirus apps on it.
Superantispyware only works on spyware, not malware, trojans, or viruses.

If you go to a site and a window pops up with no little x in the upper corner and it insists you press one of the buttons it's a virus. Even if the buttons are continue and cancel. Don't press the button. Click "CTRL + ALT + DEL" . Bring up the task manager and kill it from there. Same effect, only you know you're really in control. Any time a window doesn't do what you expect, kill it and go away.
If you get an e-mail or a webpage with links, check before you click. If the link says www.mastercard.com put your mouse over it. If the address in your browser shows up as www.hotbabesxxx.nl then don't click. It's easy to put a different link or even an executable on any text you want.
I'm running norton 360 and no virus for 3/4 years. It caught one in a zip game level last december. Blocked three intrusion attempts in the last month. I don't get viruses so much anymore. I get people trying to push viruses onto my machine through my port.
I'm not even that thrilled with Norton. It used to let you do all kinds of things. Now it's all automated. After I installed it said I was good to go. I found I still had to go through the panels and turn everything on. Vista blocked everything the install tried to do and the program couldn't tell me it was still idle. Anything is a lot better than nothing, especially when someone can just walk in over your internet connection.

" My broadband link is screwed and I can't get into Renderosity. Would you please be a star and post a message in the Bryce Forum for me. Just a heads-up that I'll be back as soon as I can get back on line properly.
ATM pages either won't load up or take hours to load up. I'm going to have to re-build my harddrive again - 3rd time this year thanks to viruses - and sign up to a new ISP because AOL - who I've been with for 13 years - has screwed me over and refuses to accept that I'm not getting any bandwidth." ....
ahem..i already thought i was a star..
poor Chris.. must have taken him long to send the email..
Cheers everyone..
