Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 09 3:34 pm)
Gee all these Californians! Who would of thunk it? ;-) I have been in San Francisco since 1980, and I just got an apartment in Alameda last thursday. I'll be moving in a week. I hate moving, I just hope I don't have any down time on my computers. One of these days we should all meet somewhere where we can all get to and swap Poser horror stories ;-) I've have always been hoping for some form of a Poser gathering in the Bay Area. I'd like to see if we could get some people from DAZ (I've gotten to know them very well but they're in Utah) and Curious Lab over here as well. James
I hold "artist teas" every 6-8 weeks... for a group of ladies who are computer artists. The gentlemen of my acquaintance have begged me to have a developer's coffee and invite them, too! It looks like I should hold a Poser Party (being reasonably centrally located)... but Kate has mentioned a BBQ, which would be fun. :) The earliest I could manage it would be the weekend of the 25th. So, Kate, which of us gets to throw the party? Carolly

I am from Bavaria, just a few minutes away from you all. Visited the States 14x now, next time I want to join your party. moenchenOk People, let's start a NEW thread for this. Something kind like "Northern CA (Bay Area) Poser get together". And let's truly work out the details. Since I'm in the process of moving, I'll most likely not be available til at least the end of the month. So I'm thinking that Some time in September might work and will give us all plenty of time to make arrangments. This way too if anyone from outside the area who would like to drop by can also make plans to visit. I really have been dying to meet in person several of the members here (you too amp3 ;-)). Let's make this work and not let it fall by the wayside like so many plans do. James PS: A NEW thread will also alert those who haven't become part of this thread, since the Title "Got Floor" means nothing to this effect.

Well, I ran into this little treasure trove while looking for a way to redo my NEW apartment's kitchen. I just got a quaint little apartment in Alameda CA. and they have the most hideous flooring in the bathroom and kitchen. Thus my search for an inexpensive solution to make things better. http://www.pergo.com This site has a plethera of wood flooring (and some stone) textures at a somewhat good resolution. ***WARNING!! These are not tileable textures! You'll have to tweak them yourselves!*** So go to the site, grab the textures (who knows if they'll be there tomorrow *snicker*) and play to your hearts content. James
