You have all the parts overlapping. That's why you have the mess. Select the entire map. Hit: / (This will shrink the entire thing down to 1/4 size.) Now Edit: Select: By Group. Pick a group. Move the group so you can see it better. If the group doesn't look right, WHILE the group is still selected, go to Edit: New UV Map. Try different UV Map styles until you find the one you like. Lather, rinse, repeat. Once you have everything mapped, pick a group then go to Edit: Assign: To Material. Create a useful name for each part. (I.e. glass, nose guard, etc.) Save the model. www.uvmapper.com It's free, but someday a professional version will come out as well. The free version will still be available.
