As I have never really been intersted in V3 I have never used the V3-V4 in my DAz Studio, but there is a couple of cool products I would like to try using V3 and I was wondering if anyone could tell me if the V4-V3 option has all the morphs and every thing I need for V3 stuff(models,Clothes,Etc.) to work properly or do I need extra morphs or any thing else?

V4toV3 uses the V4 textures and the V4 head morphs. It doesn't have any body morphs, the V4 morphs don't work as the figure is grouped differently to accommodate the V3 rigging (and anyway, the V3 clothes wouldn't support the V4 morphs): all it does is allow you to put your V3 clothes on something resembling your V4 characters (head shape and textures). If you want to use a character made for V3 you would need the V3 base (free) and any morph sets the character required.

So its basically a V4 head on a V3 body?  That takes care of a lot of issues for me if it is.  The biggest problem I have with V3 is lack of control over her expressions.  It makes it all but impossible to use in animations.  There are a lot of good props for V3 though.  I assume all the V3 body morphs will still work on V4toV3.

No, it's a standard V4 body on the V4 mesh reshaped and regrouped to wear V3 clothing. It isn't the V3 mesh, so V3 morphs won't work, and it doesn't have the V3 uv mapping so textures won't work. The idea is to allow people to use their V3 clothing on their V4 characters, at least as far as textures and head shape are concerned (which was useful t some when the figure was newly released and had a limited wardrobe).

So I use the V4 textures but not the morphs since it would kind of defeat the purpose to start with - the clothing won't fit.  That works, I was always wondering what that particular character instance was for.  Of course now the V4 clothing has caught up and is usually better, but some of the highly specialized stuff (like uniforms) is still somewhat missing.  The holes are being filled in at this point though.
