I've just gotten finished with watching the tutorial at: (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FwCHxSTlOQo) about caustics and lights etc. in SM. Now, as this is the first time I've used SM, I thought maybe I was missing something when I opened it up. But I went back to the tut a couple of times and followed along exactly and still got nothing. As you can see when she opens up SM she gets all of her bricks with all the necessary parameter info in each brick. But when I open SM I get what you see in the image, with no parameter info whatsoever. I've tried both selecting and de-selecting surfaces etc. but nothing. Can someone shed a little light on this for me, please? Thanks for any input.

Namaste;-)

Are you using DS advanced?  It may not work unless you are using a registered version of Studio advanced  (pro)

Hi Annie and thanks for the reply. I just updated to 3.1.1.73 two days ago and even reregistered. I registered online. I never used the Shader Mixer before updating and I just wonder if I should try registering again. Does the same serial number apply if I have an updated version?

I just wanted to also let you know that I've tried reregistering my DS3A twice, online from the app. So, I really have'nt a clue!

It should..but to be sure that you have the right one..look in your available serial numbers in your Daz account online...thats where you will find them...and then if you enter a number in the program, be sure there are no spaces at the beginning or end.
I have never used the SM so I'm not too sure about it...but if its a plugin you can also look in the program to see if it also needs to be registered or activated.

Been there! Done that! And just tried once again. No Go! I'm trying to get some answers over at the DAZ forum, but I think everyone is still asleep:-)

I know there is a thread there all about the shader mixer..
Tomorrow you can probably catch RHaseltine and he can point you in the right direction.

Thanks a lot, Annie. It's a bit frustrating you know!
