Vue F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 24 7:34 pm)
I doubt there would be problems with a FirePro. ATI cards are fine, prodided they are recent. You can always check the graphic cards compatibility chart here:
BUT with Nvidia, you get CUDA. Useless for Vue, but other graphic programs may benefit from it (GPU renderers)
I mentioned this earlier to someone else myself, but i spent over 4.5 grand on a good pc specifically to make HUGE Vue scenes, and the ATI card was over a grand itself, but nope, Vue does not like it. So basically whenever i sneeze Vue is doing weird things, and tells me right off that my card isnt up to par. I have a 59xx series HD card with 2G onboard. a VERY high end card and far superior to anything Nvidia makes, but NOPE Vue dont like it... basically DO NOT get one.

not.
i didnt know squat about it bruno, otherwise i would have stuck with Nvidia. Its gotta be marketing.
As a gamer i know they always manage a work around. i havent used Vue in months...well seems like months anyway. Like loosing a loved one to be honest. but now I have Vray for c4d LOL.

Did you upgrade to R12? I can't upgrade to the R12 version that would let me have all the Advanced render features. I don't have that kind of money right now. I'm still mad at Maxon for taking away GI in the 2 cheaper R12 versions. Vray4C4D is not xStream compatible, so I'm not getting it, but it looks fantastic.
no way dude, upgrades are shit these days. i "demoed" a copy of r12... and lemme tell ya nothing but new interface and colors...dofferent shades of grey and blue everywhere. some nice new Mograph stuff (which i dont get anyway) and a lot of bells and whistles... nothing we need...
but damn man vray is so awesome !!!
real life displacement, real life sunshine ivy, 2 sided materials...WOW man... truly glorious longest render i had was 3 minutes.
...but i miss Vue :(

HI
I would like to render awesome pix / animations in Vue, but I realized it also demands a high configured PC. So I was thinking can I design a PC with following stats:
1.MOTHER BOARD:-Intel® Workstation Board S5520SC
2.PROCESSORES:-Intel® Xeon® processor 5600 series{DUAL SIX CORE WITH HYPERTHREADING}
3.GRAPHICS CARD:-ATI FirePro™ V5800 Professional Graphics{DUAL 1GB}
4.RAM:-DDR3-8GB-1033FSB
5.HARD DISK:-1TB {10000 RPM}
6.SMPS:-1500WATT
7.CHASSIS:-INTEL
8.LCD:-22 INCHES
I am in confusion while selecting the proper company for RAM,HDD,SMPS,LCD.
So can somebody suggest me, whether this above PC is competent to render data in Vue? or any suggestions to make it more efficient?
Thanks for time and attention
Amanda
