Subject: Rain scene in Vue

I want to make a rain scene in Vue.Can it be done?

There are several ways.  You could use alpha planes or for some really interesting rain and other weather try Wabe's Bad Weather at Cornucopia

Or you could use the rain prop that comes with every copy of Vue..

There's a rain prop?  Now he tells me!!  I've never seen it - though I haven't really looked around the objects that ship with vue since version 4......

Objects--Exterior---Nature..
It's very basic but it does the job most of the time depending what you want. It's essentially a cylinder you place in front of the camera, adding more of them and changing the orientation gives different effects..

Oh yes there it is!  Right next to the beam of light I've never used either :lol:

I'm sure that could be improved upon to be quite a useful prop 😄

Yea I've never used the light beam either, I have used the rain prop though..

Wabes props are great to use and well documented too :-)

 A cleaved head no longer plots.

Hi,

I had this very same problem which I raised on this forum a few months ago.  The rain cylinders (I use four of them nested) work very well. Here is an example of what they look like in a scene
