I'm not sure if this is the right place to put this query but as the problem is manifesting itself in poser I'd thought Id put it here,

I have made this in hex2 and used the autogroup editor (markdc) and tool collection specifically concloth (dimensions3d) and get this....

The problem happens when i conform the item to v4.2  and worsens when i pose her, Ive made a few items for mavka and never got this sort of problem but it happens with v4.2, in the set up room the shin bones are missing.  IVe tried adding bones for shins in the set up room but it makes it worse, (im not very good with the rigging hence the cheats tool above  :)

Can anyone suggest a remedy?

Ta in advance

Did you turn off IK on V4 before conforming? Sometimes that will be the issue.

Or it might be the falloff zones, which you can fix with the Joint Editor in Poser.

The grouping as shown, suggests that you should be treating this a hybrid dynamic item, i.e. the whole hip would be clothified.

Long dresses like this really don't behave well as conformers even if you add all the leg bones because of the way Poser's hieracrhical rigging works (child bones can only affect their parent and not other siblings).

A dress like this will be better as dynamic, i think ...

mm? I'll play around with it taking your suggestions on board, might have to put this one on back burner until I learn some more about clothing creation, as I'm still a novice.

Thanks Guys!

As you can't rig it that much better than you already have, I'd suggest you move on to creating a UV map and some textures.

Also see the "Hydrid Clothing" list of links in the linked thread.

Thanks Nruddock, I'll check out those links, I do need to learn the cloth room as you get some good results in there but I have been shying away from it for years.
