You should try this site site which has vehicles at a reasonable price and a lot of freebies too..

The new vanishing point models are incredibly well made. If you want freebies sharecg is highly recommended.Pinky - you left the lens cap of your mind on again.
The 30 day demo of sketch up pro can also export sketchup models to OBJ as well.
Another way is use the free version of sketchup, export to Collada and then use a free autodesk .dae to .obj conversion app. The results are not always that great, the rotation angle is usually out, but it is possible to fix some of them in Uvmapper.

Thanks, Acadia!
What a cool site and one I never heard of before. I speak and read just a little Japanese but I have a friend who is fluent in Japanese and will help to guide me through that site.
Also great suggestions from benney, mattymanx, mrsparky, flyrerx and Tucan-tiki. I'm been checking them all out too.
Tucan-tiki ... still checking on that converter that you mentioned. Searched but didn't find it yet. Do you have a direct link maybe?
Thanks all!

dkal,
Sometimes some of the models converted from other programs are more trouble than they are worth.
A model like this, for example:
http://www.ontarget3d.com/site/Products/962-shelby-cobra-for-poser.aspx
or this:
http://www.ontarget3d.com/site/Products/960-gt-409-sports-car-for-poser.aspx
is already rigged, scaled, grouped, mapped and textured for Poser.
It is sometimes easier to just pay the $10 for a car that someone has spent a week Poserizing than to spend your time doing it.
Some Poser vehicle models are quite advanced, with ERC rigging, MAT files or materials, add-on props, simplified controls, etc, that are mostly not available for models that you convert from other software formats.
That is not to say that you shouldn't spend time learning how to do the conversions, and making your own models, it is up to you to decide if you want to spend your time converting and fixing models, or making images or animations.

You can translate the site in Google.

I'm looking to populate my Poser scenes with some great looking vehicles, on-road and off-road. Would prefer to get them mainly from a single vendor so that they all look great together when I'm using multiple vehicles in a single scene.
Looking for suggestions for a vendor.
Thank you,
Dkal
