Howdy folks;

Can any of you experts seasoned DazStudio users out there tell if this image really is a DazStudio render...to me it looks more like an illustration...in all of my renders i have never been able to create a smile like that for my girls...

I wonder what postwork techniques are used here...

I have even purchased addons like smiles delight, but still the results dont even come close to this image :unsure:

You may need to ge the Morph+ addon. Then you can tweak the mouth more. I have seen some really good facial expresions from this tool. I have both the Base Morph+ and the Morph++ tools and with them, I can manipulate all areas of the face. Hope this is of help.

i think it's a mix of morphs ++ and the base facial morphs that come with victoria 4.2 and yeah it very well could be a D/S render using uber lighting with uber shaders and elite skin textures or uber surface shaders and things like that but i have come close to getting a smile like that in a render setup once lol

when you click her head there's the sections like morlphs++ and base which has the base, vismes, and morphs++ and another morphs++ section you may find you have to use a cpl of the sections to get a smile like that happening

Uhhh, yeah, it's actually very easy when you pick up an expression pack like this one:

I did this one in about 2 minutes.

That's one of the promo pics from the 'Radiant Jaguar Hair', so the only special lighting/shaders that would have been around then (DS1) would be things like pwsurface, so you can bet that while it was rendered in DS that there is some postwork done on it to get the effect.
