Subject: Photography Forum Challenge - November 2010 - "Silhouettes"

cfulton ( ) posted Wed, 24 November 2010 at 1:56 AM

It is amazing how certain silhouettes can look so eerie – those trees are clawing the sky with bony fingers!

This is an older shot but I wanted to post it anyway because who knows how long it might be before I get another chance to post a silhouette, ha ha! The bird is a White-breasted Nuthatch in a so-typical pose.

mariogiannecchini ( ) posted Wed, 24 November 2010 at 2:29 AM

Wonderful !!!!!

cfulton ( ) posted Wed, 24 November 2010 at 2:55 AM

Your Nuthatch is fantastic, unquestionably a 'less is more' image!

dochtersions ( ) posted Wed, 24 November 2010 at 4:32 AM

Very lively sihouettes, L.P.

Fantastic capture, Wayne

LovelyPoetess ( ) posted Wed, 24 November 2010 at 8:26 AM

Ohhhh, love the nuthatch silhouette!

They say a picture is worth a thousand words...

So where do they go when a photograph leaves you speechless?

helanker ( ) posted Wed, 24 November 2010 at 8:31 AM

Sorry i havent been around much lately, but things have been a bit busy lately, but I have been enjoying every shot in here and they are wonderful. Thank you.

This White-breasted Nuthatch is breathtaking to look at, Wayne!

"Red sky at morning, sailors take warning. Red sky at night, sailors delight"  An old saying worded various ways gives some insight into weather ahead.  The trees and sky were early one morning on a woods path.  Later, the day was wind, storm and rain.

TomDart ( ) posted Thu, 25 November 2010 at 9:18 AM

Infrared is always interestingly different..and love the nuthatch.

Faemike55 ( ) posted Thu, 25 November 2010 at 9:40 AM
