Subject: opinions: though i tend to get myself in trouble with this lol

new character,, gwendolyn, may do a fairy look as well but its been done so many times trying to think of something else

I like her. She's got character. :)

Don't listen -too- much to people's ideas of what a correct face look like, or a beautiful face.. I made that mistake myself, and ended up overanalyzing the whole thing.. 

Then I spent some time watching real people..  There's such a -huge- variation in proportions that I was baffled.  Not to mention how different people perceive beauty.

After a while I just dropped the whole thing and continued to do the projects. If I like it myself, that's enough!

I like her too and agree with Grappo, i do have a teeny problem with the top lip. It looks a wee bit botoxed to me and there's so many out there with over inflated lips that it would be nice to see "normal" shaped lips for a change, but each to their own. I still think she's lovely and good luck with her :)

it's unique.  looks chunky.  go with that.  no need to overthink it.  particular features on everyday people can seem unusual taken in isolation.

I didn't mean to sound as though I was whining about people's opinions, but thank you guys for the advice :) It does get a little disheartening when you get criticism but then that is the whole point of putting a picture up here, and I never take it personally. I would like her to look as realistic as possible so I embrace the flaws that make people unique. I agree with the comments though that there are so many characters on the market that look the same, it is difficult to get a unique look these days without modeling it on your own face  - by the way I have tried the face room in poser and also tried the morphing tool in Poser 7, Is there a tutorial for the morphing tool because it seems to go to extremes - there doesn't seem to be a way to do subtle features rather than the entire side of the face caving in LOL Or maybe there is and I just don't know about it. Also when you use the morphing tool, how do you save the INJ file? Do you save it as a pose or something? I have tried the tool but as I said, never had the success enough to save the file :) Any tips would be great.

The morph tool should be adjustable for size, so you can make very small changes tio the mesh. I believe you have to spawn the morph, and save as a new figure. Then using a text editor you can copy out the morph values and create an inj pose file using one of the PBM_CC channels thats spare.

There is no such thing as "perfect" or "ideal."

Everyone has their own idea of what "pleasing to the eye" means. Basically all it means is that it's pleasing to your own eye, not necessarily someone else's.

So don't try and please others, go with what pleases you, and guaranteed you will please those that have the same vision as yourself, and that is all that matters.

If you start trying to please everyone, you lose your vision and end up with something you didn't set out to do, and something that you don't necessarily like. Someone will want a smaller nose, others don't. Someone else may want smaller or large eyes, while someone will want the opposite.  It's your vision, go with what you like.

Create for your eye, no one else's.

I also like to add that you can use SVDL's tool Spawn Morph P6 as a python.  That and including Clemme's Eye Fix has helped me a lot (if you're doing custom characters).  In a nutshell, I think your character has potential.

I too, felt the same way as you.  Having this thing about what others would think instead of what interests me.  We all have likes and dislikes.

I second Acadia: Just go with what you can create in your own eye and taste.

She looks cross-eyed. I've noticed that a lot in Poser characters and even some of the poses do it to the character. I wonder why?

Are you using pointat to direct the eyes at the camera, or have you tried to move the eyes manually to the camera (Rarely works well for me)

Noticed that when moving the eyes 'by the numbers'. Somehow just eyeballing it ends up looking more natural. (Pun definitely intended.)

**With the Spawn Morph can you legally distribute that? It uses the Morphs++ I notices when I was mucking around with it today. So I am assuming that I am able to distribute it. **

I think you can.  You can't distribute the product though, just the morphs you create (custom morphs actually).  For Morphs++ or Daz dedicated dial morphs, you can use the Injection Pose Builder available at the Daz store.

**IPB won't work on my computer because it hasn't been updated for ages, and I don't have the classic environment that is needed to run it. :( I used to LOVE that program, and it's really unfortunate that I can't use it anymore. Unless I can find a download of the classic environment for a mac.. I may have to investigate that one. **

By the way can you elaborate on what you mean by you can distribute the morph but not the product?

Okay.

You can distribute the INJ/REM poses that you make with Spawn Morph for example.  That's all.  I guess I was overelaborating a bit about the product.  It's just unlike IPB, you can't distribute the .cr2 file (the Morphs you made and you save it from the Character file).  That's what I meant to say: you can distribute the INJ/REM pose that you make, not the .cr2
