Subject: Exporting question?

I have a crazy problem that may not sound like a problem to all the experts here.

I am trying to figure out how to properly export a bvh file from Daz (like from aniblocks) to Poser. I have tryed to export an animation made on Daz (using aniblocks animation) to transfer to poser but when I load it on the character (in Poser) they just load into the first frame of the animation. They don't go through the rest of the animation. Like it only copied the first frame in Daz.

I know it's something I'm doing wrong. Can some one please help me?

I know nothing whatsoever about your prob, I'm still way too much of a newbie. But if you don't get answer here, I almost always get full detailed answers to questions when i get stuck in the newbie forum at Daz3d.com..they're just really helpful there and its a very active board, so pretty confident you can get answer there if nowhere else. Its actually monitored by community volunteers who will find you an answer or send you to the right place to find it. Good luck!

Thank's.

Kind of got my question answerd there by another blog (I saw). It was a question for exporting bvh to 3d max. I am trying to export it to poser. Some one there in answering his question said "you need Daz studio advance" (not the free version). I think thats why my bvh from daz won't export right.

That may be true. I don't have DSA, but I know theres LOTS of extended functionality with it. Two things...first of all, I wish i had a link for you, but I don't. However, there's a list kept at Daz in forums that is a list of all the free scripts that have been developed for it...and theres a TON of em that do all manner of things, and i know some of them have been incorporated into the advanced version. So it might possibly be that there's a free script there on the list that would do what you want. I'm sure if you ask there for the list of scripts they'll direct you. Oh! Actually, i don't have the link but i'm pretty sure that Richard Haseltine (and that's his user name) has a link to the scripts page in his signature there.

Also, just in case you're broke like I am ;) They ran a special for a single day where DSA advanced was super cheap..like $1.88. I've been told that its possible that they might do something similar in March. Noone is certain, but the chance is there. So you might want to peek around for threads about the $1.88 DSA and post a quick response just so you'll be notified if anyone posts that the special is back on again.

I think they're having a 50% off sale now, and if you buy one of the 12 workday of xmas products you get a coupon for another 15% off..just for this weekend, so if you're really needing to upgrade right away you can get a good deal on it. That info is listed in the commons forum at daz.

Sorry for the long response, but hoping one of those options can help you! Good luck!
