Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 24 11:54 pm)
You can use the "Point At" command from the menu to make a camera point at an object or figure.
As for moving something from 'Point A' to 'Point B', you can always switch your camera view to the Top view, then you can click and drag your object without having to worry about it moving along the Y Axis.
Poser 10
Octane Render
Wings 3D
NOTE : DO NOT click & drag on the figure (in the Document window) because you might just select a body part and only move the body part.
CLICK & DRAG on the Editing Tool icon.
Note - Zoom the Camera(s) out for larger scenes.

Thanks again!
Try doing this ...
[menu] "Edit" >>> "General Preferences" (Ctrl+K) >>> "Interface" (tab)
Launch Behavior >>> "Launch to factory state" (click "OK" ... duh :o)
Exit (close) Poser ... Restart Poser and ...
All should be well.

Now, after you have done the above, i.e., Launched to factory state ...
Use the "UI Dots" and click on a dot to set that dot to the "factory state" for the User Interface (UI).
Then, if you ever have this problem again, just click on the UI Dot that you set to restore the original UI configuration.
Simple, huh?! ... Try it ... you'll like it.

Hi, I have a Poser 7 question about moving cameras and figures. Number 1, is there a way to focus a camera on a particular figure so that it rotates around the figure, ie, if I want to swing around for another angle of that figure, without having to go through the cumbersome operation of doing all the arrows back and forth, etc.... I don't know if any of you are familiar with Second Life, but there you are able to pick a specific figure, and rotate your camera around it, and then decide to stop at a particular angle.
And number 2, is there a quicker way to move figures around the scene, rather than going through the tiresome operation of doing x's and z's in the Parameters Dial? I know there is the Editing Tools function, but if I want to move my figure diagonally across a floor I find it difficult even with this tool. Is there were a way one could point the mouse to a spot on the floor, and then have the figure move to that spot, it would be so great. I am all ears.
Thanks!
