Brief update: they clarified the text on the promotion, and now it clearly states that in the event that they do not reach their goal, everyone's money will be refunded. So my original post was wrong--this is a zero-risk offer.
The bar has gone up about 7% since I first posted at noon (it was at around 15%, now it's more like 22%). Yes, I have been taking periodic screenshots of the progress bar. So sue me. ;)
I decided to throw down for a copy of the Pro version as well. I am unclear if you get the full $40 back or $40 minus paypal charges. Either way, its worth the risk.
And, if you look at the HTML you can see the scaling of the filler image. Currently at 30%

I bought a copy of the basic version. Odd Ithing is that I was a messiah user for a few years just have otehr priorities now so I wan tto have the latest but I have nto doen a lot of computer animation for quite soem time. Messiah has a great renderer and shader language too.

In case anyone missed it, pmG is doing a promotion in which you can get the recently released Messiah Studio 5 for $10 ($40 for Messiah Pro). Since it normally sells for $499 ($1195 for Pro), I think that qualifies as a hella good deal.
The catch is that it's a gamble--the people that buy into the promotion don't get their licenses until pmG reaches a predetermined goal for the number of people buying into the promotion. So there's a chance that they never reach the goal and you are just out ten bucks. So caveat emptor. Still, it's a chance to get Messiah for TEN DOLLARS. I mean, come on!
