Hi there

Running through the gus tut and stumbled on page 1. Whats the key for rect select - I can only get lasso and that won't finish the select - it just fades out like a candle in the wind. 2.49 xp pro

thanks

To get the border select (rect select) just hit the "B" key.

Hope it helps

Thanks benney got it. I'm now wondering why, having deleted half the cube, there is a stray vert in the centre of the cube?

Ah.. That is because blender is one of the few programs that can extrude vertices to create edges and so forth.. It happens.

It may not be a vertex. It may be the origin for the object. If one deletes all the vertices on an object, the origin will still remain. It's orange, and so can look like a vertex. A cube's origin, unless the cube's vertices are moved in edit mode, is in the center of the cube.
