What a fun challenge!  I have no idea how February got away from me.  Well ... being sick half the month didn't help!  :P

Here's my first spot of color, taken just this afternoon!  I realize it's all color, but I thought the complimentary color scheme made the logo really pop.

(This is the side of a 1929 TravelAir, btw.)

Well I had a bit of trouble finding you, the link back on the Photography page is inactive. Great subject though and worth looking for you. I like everything so far.

I did want to put in one of my B&W with a spot of colour, but if I'm reading correctly that's not what you're after Meisiekind. Never mind, I'll find something else. (and I've already uploaded for today. How does this work? still one upload per day or three for the challenge? I'm still learning.)

dochtersions ( ) posted Mon, 07 March 2011 at 4:51 AM

Stunning post-work, very well spotted, dear Prisca!

Well, here goes, I hope I'm doing this right.

This was just a small hole in the storm clouds as the sun was setting. It was bright white, but when I looked at the screen it had a brilliant purple blaze. I clicked and hoped for the best. I was quite pleased with the result.

Finding just a spot of colour in my garden is actually quite a challenge. There are a multitude of colours, singling out just a spot..... well, I managed it, twice.

A very small bracket fingi on the root of one of my bonsais.

kgb224 ( ) posted Wed, 09 March 2011 at 2:40 AM

Amazing work everyone.

dochtersions ( ) posted Wed, 09 March 2011 at 3:48 AM

My third one. There were a few more coloured leaves fallen in my fish pond but I managed to single out just the one.

dochtersions ( ) posted Thu, 10 March 2011 at 4:43 AM

Most beautiful outcome of this red leave, my friend.
It is also a great compo and your pond seems to me a very beauty one.
Cheers,
Mies.

The color is subtle in this one...my wife wants stone to put under the raised frong porch.  Since all I am doing is trying to find a job...well, off to get the stone.   One rather smallish truck, a much smaller shovel..but is there enough stone?

The rock is in a pile near her work place. Recent work left this pile and they were told get all you want...I hope the old truck will survive yet another full load!

Today was my daughter's birthday party, held at a place where they have two hours in which to complete a painting using acrylic paint.  Fun was had by all, not least of all me with my camera there.  Perfect for the forum challenge!

Guess if I was thrilled? :)

I really admire your creativities here.

Clive, the hand and brush are a nice effect.

This rock with the reddish color spots is one of the various rocks lining our small driveway.  From best I have been told, the red is realgar and I believe the yellowish stuff is orpiment.  These minerals are like good friends and found together.  Don't eat this rock!  The stuff is a source of arsenic.    Ancient folks used it for pigment, medicine, etc.   This one was about 4 times longer but  I accidentally drive over the edge and  broke it.

kgb224 ( ) posted Sat, 12 March 2011 at 11:09 PM

Stunning find and capture Tom. helanker i like the shroom. I like the colored hair in the painting Clive. Outstanding work everyone

Red car lights, red hair and a beautiful red-like fungus. Red is in the air!
Surprising perfect shots, and great find, my friends!

p.s. and what a job you've done, Tom!
