Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 24 8:11 pm)
I have a figure named X.cr2, that I have placed in a new figures directory. This figure had a custom geometry in Poser 3, so I created a new directory named "RuntimeGeometriesnew". I then took the X.obj geometry file from Poser 3 and placed it in this directory. When I load the figure in Poser 4, it complains that it can't find the geometry file "RuntimeGeometriesnewX.obj" It appears that for some reason, it is not "relative" pathing this new file, even though all other standard Poser 4 .cr2 figure files have a similar setup for their geometries.

I have copied over a P3 character file into a P4 directory, along with the character's geometry file. Both are in the same "relative" position within the P3/P4 directories. However, whenever I load the figure, P4 complains that it can't load the geometry file, and gives the filename. I have checked the "figureresfile" parameter in the character's .CR2 file, and it's OK. The geometry .OBJ file exists where it is supposed to. Why do I get this error, and how do I correct it?
